Goblin Slayer is an anime adaptation based on the light novel series written by Kumo Kagyu and illustrated by Noboru Kannatuki. In the light novel, characters lack personal names, with the main protagonist simply known as Goblin Slayer, who rarely removes his helmet. The first season of the anime, produced by WHITE FOX, aired during the Fall 2018 anime season, followed by the sequel movie, Goblin Slayer: Goblin’s Crown, in 2020. There is also an ongoing manga adaptation by Kousuke Kurose.
Yen Press handles the English publication of both the light novel and manga series, providing the following plot description: A young priestess forms her first adventuring party, but they quickly find themselves in dire straits. It is the enigmatic Goblin Slayer who comes to their aid, a man who has dedicated his life to eradicating goblins by any means necessary. As word of his exploits spreads, it becomes uncertain who might seek his services next.
