Demon Slayer will adapt the next arc, titled “Hashira Training” arc into a television anime.

As per Redbeanime, the popular shonen anime has revealed the next season will adapt the “Hashira Training” arc following the finale of the “Swordsmith Village” arc. While the pattern of Demon Slayer had previously been television anime, animated film and television anime, the series has opted to break it with the “Hashira Training” arc. A new PV has also dropped, unveiling the gorgeous teaser visuals of the still-active Hashira before culminating into an array of the eight Hashira, including Sound Hashira Tengen Uzui, who recently retired at the end of the “Entertainment District” arc. Demon Slayer has not revealed any other details.

Demon Slayer Celebrates the Swordsmith Village Finale With NY Times Square Takeover

Demon Slayer’s “Swordsmith Village” arc wrapped up with an extended 70-minute finale for Episode 11, titled “A Connected Bond: Daybreak and First Light.” The day before, the anime took over New York Times Square to celebrate the end of the third season. Visuals from the anime were emblazoned across screens for an epic Demon Slayer takeover where the various characters greeted fans. Previously, the series went on a world tour to promote the third season by compiling the last two episodes of the “Entertainment District” arc with a one-hour Episode 1 from the “Swordsmith Village” arc.

The “Swordsmith Village” arc premiered on April 9, 2023, and ran for 11 episodes. The season featured the voice talents of Kana Hanazawa as Love Hashira Mitsuri Kanroji and Kengo Kawanishi as Mist Hashira Muichiro Tokito. On the Twelve Kizuki side, Kohsuke Toriumi voiced Upper Rank Five Gyokko and Toshio Furukawa as the original Upper Rank Four Hantengu. Haruo Sotozaki directed the third season at ufotable.

Written and illustrated by Koyoharu Gotouge, Demon Slayer is one of the best-selling manga series of all time, with over 150 million copies in circulation as of February 2021. The series ran in Weekly Shōnen Jump from February 2016 to May 2020 and has garnered positive reception for its characterization, especially the kind-hearted protagonist Tanjiro Kamado. ufotable adapted the manga into anime in April 2019 for 26 episodes and adapted the next arc into a movie called Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Movie: Mugen Train. Season 2 featured a compilation and the “Entertainment District” arc.
