Link from The Legend of Zelda transforms himself into the Hyrule version of Chainsaw Man in this epic crossover between Tears of the Kingdom and Chainsaw Man.
On Twitter, artist @/Sath_x illustrated an amusing scenario of Link using his new fuse abilities on an eerily familiar weapon. The weapon in question is the Zonai Chainsaw, which doesn’t exist in Tears of the Kingdom, but it’s part of the game’s vast arsenal of fuse-able weapons. After fusing the chainsaw to his right arm, Link becomes Chainsaw Fuse! Link lays waste to all the Moblins across Hyrule in the second artwork.
Anime Fans’ Creative Artworks
These illustrations aren’t the first time Legend of Zelda fans have created amusing crossover fan art with other anime series. One artist took a cheeky Mobile Suite Gundam meme and applied it to the creative thinking Tears of the Kingdom players underwent when developing their virtual constructions. Additionally, light novel artist Susumu Kuroi celebrated the game’s release by illustrating an impressive rendition of the main cast. Link, of course, takes center stage as he uses his new arm abilities to conquer the challenges ahead of him.
Chainsaw Man fans are just as enthusiastic as Zelda fans. While the fandom was disappointed with the lack of Chainsaw Man Season 2 news from anime studio MAPPA, it hasn’t stopped them from continuing their creative juices. One fan brought Makima to life in a haunting cosplay of the character, while another fan reimagined her as part of the cast of Courage the Cowardly Dog.
The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is the latest entry in The Legend of Zelda franchise by Nintendo. Released six years after Breath of the Wild, Tears of the Kingdom follows Princess Zelda and her swordsman Link as they try to rebuild the kingdom of Hyrule following the end of Calamity Ganon. However, the sudden resurrection of The Demon King, Ganondorf, has once again jeopardized the massive world of Hyrule. In the game, Link explores familiar territory while soaring the skies above and diving into the unknown below.
