A new promotional shot of the fan-favorite character Levi Ackerman has been revealed ahead of the release of Attack on Titan: The Final Season Part 3.
The official Twitter account for the hit anime posted a stunning character visual for the Scout Regiment captain and resident Titan slayer, Levi Ackerman. This image depicts Levi in his omnidirectional mobility gear, draping a jacket over his shoulder. He sports a bandage over his right eye and a scar across his chin, highlighting the damage Zeke’s explosive attack in Final Season Part 1 had on him. Despite that, the character still has the nonchalant demeanor that helped propel him into being one of Attack on Titan’s most beloved figures.
Levi’s Return to Attack On Titan: The Final Season
Levi has been a mainstay in the series since the first season, which aired nearly a decade ago in April 2013. However, it’s unclear how he will play into the next installment of the series after his somewhat inactive involvement in Attack on Titan: The Final Season Part 2. The answers for this will come on March 4, 2023, when the first cour of Part 3 begins with an hour-long Attack on Titan episode.
Season 4, otherwise known as The Final Season, started on Dec 7, 2020, and began its second half on March 29, 2021. After a cliffhanger ending came the announcement that the anime would be split again, with The Final Season Part 2 beginning its first half on Jan 10, 2022, and its second on April 4, 2022. This second part also did not conclude the saga, with the announcement of an upcoming Part 3 — also split into two cours — promising even more episodes in the finale of this long-running series.
Known in Japan as Shingeki no Kyojin and based on the manga of the same name written by Hajime Isayama, Attack on Titan is widely considered one of the greatest and most influential anime of the last decade. The show takes place in a world where ravenous monsters known as Titans plague the land, devouring anyone they can get their hands on. The survivors of these creatures live inside giant walls in an attempt to stay safe, but after one of those giant structures is breached by The Colossal Titan, humanity is forced to enter a war against the beasts.
Attack on Titan was initially produced by Wit Studio, with Studio MAPPA taking over for The Final Season. The entire show is available to stream on Crunchyroll in Japanese, English, Spanish, German and Portuguese.
