WEBTOON Unscrolled reveals the first look at the cover and interior pages of The God of High School's upcoming graphic novel adaptation of the hit young adult fantasy/action manhwa.
With over 8 billion reads on the Webtoon platform, The God of High School Vol 1 is the latest series to receive a printed adaptation by WEBTOON Unscrolled, Wattpad WEBTOON Book Group's new graphic novel imprint. Created by South Korean comic artist Yongje Park, The God of High School follows a teenager who enters a martial arts tournament full of magic and mystery as they all compete to have a wish granted. Along with the exclusive cover reveal, Webtoon provided CBR with six pages of The God of High School's print adaptation.

The upcoming graphic novel isn't The God of High School's first high-profile adaptation to another form of media. The popular webcomic received an anime adaptation by Studio MAPPA that debuted on Crunchyroll in July 2020. The anime's one 13-episode season was a product of Webtoon and Crunchyroll's partnership that includes other hit collaborations, including the Tower of God and Noblesse anime adaptations. The God of High School also received a mobile game adaptation in 2019 called Hero Cantare, an RPG game that features various popular characters from Naver Webtoon.
The God of High School is not the first Webtoon series to receive a graphic novel adaptation from WEBTOON Unscrolled. Other Webtoon fan favorites are already in print and are available for purchase, like True Beauty by Yaongyi, Tower of God by Sui, and Cursed Princess Club by LambCat. The imprint aims to publish 24 WEBTOON titles a year to make their content more accessible to readers who consume content in various formats, expanding access to those who prefer physical copies. Fans can expect to see more of their favorite Webtoon titles on bookshelves in the near future.
The God of High School Vol 1 will be available for purchase in both hardcover and paperback on Sept. 19, 2023.
