Throughout My Dress-Up Darling, Marin wore various in-universe costumes, but in this fanart, she is depicted tackling the popular 2022 anime Chainsaw Man.

The popular anime cosplayer as Power, Denji's best friend, was depicted in artwork from r/SonoBisqueDoll in a Reddit post. By donning some of the character's most frequently seen outfits, such as her blue hoodie and Public Safety uniform combination, as well as her red long-sleeved shirt and jean shorts, Marin brings Power to life. She keeps the earrings she wore throughout the series to help identify the character underneath the costume, but she also wears Power's recognisable red horns and spiked teeth.

Marin from My Dress-up Darling Is the Perfect Power

Besides getting the costumes right, the artist visualizes Marin in a compilation of the character's most iconic moments. On the bottom left is her recreation of Power's Nobel Prize winner fantasy, which shows the character with a ponytail and glasses. To the right of that is the now infamous image of Power sitting on the toilet seat, clenching her chest as she prepares to engage in her deal with Denji, which Marin plays into. Finally, above are two images of Marin clutching Power's Blood Scythe and playing into her personality with facial expressions and physical energy.

My Dress-Up Darling premiered in 2022 and captivated audiences with its emphasis on romance and cosplay, the latter of which resulted in a surge in popularity for cosplayers portraying the leading lady. The show follows Gojo, a young man who enjoys making Hina Dolls, a hobby that led him to become a social outcast throughout high school. But everything changes when the energetic Marin Kitagawa enters his life and asks for his assistance in making her cosplay dreams come true.

The anime and manga adaptations of Chainsaw Man heavily feature Power, the subject of the fictional character's cosplay. The show centres on a young man named Denji who transforms into Chainsaw Man, a half-human, half-devil hybrid, and is hired by the enigmatic Makima to work as a Devil Hunter for Public Safety. The protagonist's partner and fellow demon is Power. She captivated audiences with her chaotic energy, inspiring many to dress as the Blood Fiend themselves.

Both My Dress-Up Darling and Chainsaw Man are available to watch on Crunchyroll.
