Part 2 of Chainsaw Man's Manga

As of right now, Chainsaw Man is in the middle of its second major story arc, the "Academy Saga," which picks up the plot after the events of the "Public Safety Saga." In the first story, Denji, the main character, was trained by the Control Devil Makima to become a Devil Hunter for Public Safety. He made friends with the Blood Fiend Power and the stern but devoted Aki Hayakawa along the way. The series' first half came to an end with Chapter 97, "I, Love, Chainsaw."

Fans continue to cosplay characters from the early chapters, such as Himeno and the Bomb Devil Reze, in Fujimoto's violent and action-packed series, which has grown in popularity since its release. In 2022, the product also got a well-known anime adaptation from the studio MAPPA, further solidifying its position as one of the most famous offerings on the market. The project has been referred to by fans as one of the "Dark Shonen Trio," together with Jujutsu Kaisen and Hell's Paradise.

Recap of Chainsaw Man Chapter 127

The previous chapter of the manga chapter 127, titled "Save the Asa," was released on April 18. This episode continued Denji's attempts to save Asa as she became a victim of the Falling Devil, her negative thoughts and remorse forcing her to fall directly upwards into the sky. He tried everything he could to save her by urging her to think positive thoughts and expressing his outlook on life. The final panel ended on a cliffhanger, with the couple hanging in the air and Denji declaring what he wants most in life, to which Asa responded with "Ew."

The anime version of Chainsaw Man is available on Crunchyroll, with the manga available on MangaMonster and physical copies available at most participating shops.
