Many viewers would not want to be like Sasuke for a laundry list of reasons. Sasuke has one of the most tragic backstories in Naruto, allows vengeance to consume his mind, and cuts off his bonds with his friends. On top of all this, his personality has several flaws.
Following the Uchiha massacre, Sasuke's heart grows colder as his hatred increasingly escalates to new heights. Nevertheless, viewers cannot overlook how luck favors Sasuke at multiple points throughout the show. From the many power boosts he receives to the people who help him, Sasuke has a lot to be grateful for.
10 Sasuke Finds A New Family In Team Seven
Although Itachi and Obito kill Sasuke's loved ones and neighbors during the Uchiha massacre, Sasuke creates new bonds with the members of Team Seven. Team Seven reminds Sasuke that there are still people who care about him.
Naruto initially strikes Sasuke as a foolish nuisance, but they eventually become best friends. Naruto calls Sasuke a brother, and Sasuke reciprocates Naruto's sentiment. Thus, even though Sasuke loses his family early on, he at least has Naruto, Sakura, and Kakashi by his side.
9 Sasuke Graduates At The Top Of His Class
People around Sasuke recognize him as a prodigy of the Uchiha clan during his time at the ninja academy. His classmates' jaws drop whenever he does something exceptionally well in class and praise him for his skills.
Sasuke's report cards show his excellence in the ninja arts, as he never fails to hit the top marks. Consequently, Sasuke also makes other people, such as Naruto, jealous of his incredible accomplishments because they feel as though they could never become as cool and smart as him.
8 Sasuke Becomes Stronger With Orochimaru Without Becoming Orochimaru's Vessel
Sasuke trains under the tutelage of Orochimaru after defecting from the Leaf Village even though he knows that Orochimaru wants to take over his body. Sasuke would do anything to attain his goal of avenging his clan, so he voluntarily seeks Orochimaru's help without fixating on the repercussions.
However, Sasuke grows disgusted by how Orochimaru experiments on living people. Thus, Sasuke attacks Orochimaru and takes advantage of Orochimaru's declining health condition. Consequently, Sasuke receives training from one of the Legendary Sannin and absorbs Orochimaru to strengthen his physical capabilities, all while avoiding becoming Orochimaru's next vessel.
7 Naruto Vindicates Sasuke After The War
Sasuke commits an endless list of crimes by the end of the show. He joins the Akatsuki and attacks Killer Bee, storms the Kage Summit, almost kills innocent characters such as Karin, and tries to take over the world after the war.
Despite the turmoil Sasuke causes wherever he goes, Naruto convinces people to vindicate him. Sasuke deserves severe punishment for his crimes, but in the end, people allow his mistakes to slide thanks to Naruto's pleading. Sasuke is lucky to have a friend like Naruto who always has his back.
6 Sasuke Quickly Awakens & Evolves His Sharingan Thanks To Itachi & Obito
Itachi and Obito slaughter the entire clan, forcing Sasuke to witness the horrors of the Uchiha massacre. Consequently, Sasuke awakens his Sharingan after enduring tremendous emotional pain. 5 Hagoromo Bestows Six Paths Powers Upon Sasuke
Sasuke becomes one of the two lucky characters to acquire strength from Hagoromo. Sasuke receives a major power boost that instantly propels him to the top tier of all ninjas. He awakens the Rinnegan in his left eye, allowing him to gain a unique and overpowered ability called Amenotejikara.
Sasuke also becomes powerful enough to trap all the Tailed Beasts with a single clap of his hands. Sasuke has so much power that only Naruto can stop him from starting a revolution after the conclusion of the Fourth Great Ninja War.
4 Sasuke Masters Multiple Chakra Natures As A Genin
Many jonin can utilize at least two chakra natures, so it is impressive that Sasuke can use both fire and lightning while training as a genin. Most members of the Uchiha clan have an affinity for Fire Release, and Sasuke is no exception.
Sasuke gains mastery over the Fire Release: Great Fireball Technique at a young age. Kakashi then teaches Sasuke how to perform Chidori, a Lightning Release technique, later in Sasuke's development. Sasuke only improves his capabilities with fire and lightning throughout the rest of the show.
3 Sasuke Receives Training From Itachi At A Young Age
Sasuke gets a head start on training since Itachi teaches him ninja techniques before he joins the academy. Sasuke not only starts training earlier than his classmates but also receives instruction from one of the most well-respected members of the Uchiha clan, Itachi.
Sasuke is deemed a prodigy by many, but Itachi stands out among prodigies. Thus, Sasuke learns from the best of the best. This lays a strong foundation for Sasuke to build on, contributing to his great success in the classroom after being admitted into the academy.
2 Sasuke Avenges His Clan By Killing Danzo
The pain that Sasuke had to endure for most of his life as a result of the Uchiha massacre ultimately stems from Danzo's evil plan to exterminate the Uchiha clan. Sasuke despises how the Leaf Village allowed Danzo to use Itachi as a pawn to kill the Uchiha clan.
Sasuke also detests the village's complacency in response to the tragic event. Hence, Sasuke strengthens his resolve to track Danzo down to kill him. Sasuke interrupts the Kage Summit, finds Danzo, and pierces Danzo's heart with a Lightning Release technique to finish the fight.
1 Sasuke Is At Peace With The World By The End
