Feb 21, 2024
In the world of Masashi Kishimoto’s Naruto, the Dōjutsu are special eye techniques that do not require finger signs and usually cannot be learned. They can only be inherited. The Three Powerful Eye techniques are the Uchiha clan’s Sharingan, the Hyuuga clan’s Byakugan, and the Rin’negan, the most powerful of the three. There are numerous variations and types of Dōjutsu, and in this article, we will rank the five strongest and five weakest ones in the series.

The five strongest Eye Techniques (Dōjutsu) in Naruto

In this section, we will rank the five strongest Dōjutsu in Naruto, starting with number five and continuing to number one.

5. Mangekyō Sharingan

The Mangekyō Sharingan is a development of the Sharingan, which only very few Uchiha have achieved. It is significantly stronger than a normal Sharingan and grants the user special abilities. However, its use damages vision and ultimately leads to complete blindness.

The Mangekyō Sharingan is usually acquired by killing someone close to the owner and looks different for each user, but what they all have in common is that the Tomoe fuse into a new form. Like the normal Sharingan, it is always red and black.

4. Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan

By implanting another Mangekyō Sharingan and already owning one, the two Sharingan mix, you then receive a new, improved Sharingan, the Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan, which does not lose vision and restores lost vision. The more closely related the people exchanging eyes are the better the result. This has only been achieved by Madara and Sasuke Uchiha. The Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan can then even evolve into the Rin’negan.

3. Rin’negan

The Rin’negan is the most powerful of the three major Dōjutsu. It is also a Kekkei Genkai, but unlike the other two eye arts, it is rarely awakened and, therefore, cannot be assigned to a clan. However, Hagoromo Otsutsuki’s Rin’negan is a Kekkei Moura.

The Rin’negan grants the user god-like abilities and is depicted as a completely purple eye with circles around the iris. Legend has it that it is sent from heaven in times of chaos, and its user becomes either a “god of creation” who brings peace to the world or a “destroyer” who returns the world to nothingness. Since it is only very rarely awakened, almost nothing is known about its circumstances except that you must be a descendant of the Rikudou Sennin, as he was the first to awaken the Kekkei Genkai.

2. Tenseigan

The Tenseigan is a Dōjutsu of the Otsutsuki clan. A blurring white-blue iris with a blue pupil characterizes it. The jutsu was discovered by Hamura Otsutsuki and later used by Toneri Otsutsuki. The combination of the chakra of the Hyuuga clan and the Otsutsuki clan causes a Byakugan to evolve into the Tenseigan. This was described thousands of years ago by Hamura Otsutsuki and eventually awakened by Toneri Otsutsuki in three stages.

The Tenseigan appears to regress when the owner, in this case Toneri, is defeated. Some powerful jutsu are possible with the help of the Tenseigan. Powerful attacks such as the Ginrin Tensei Baku and Kinrin Tensei Baku can be used, as well as increasing physical abilities through the Tenseigan Chakra Mode. Additionally, people and things can be attracted and repelled, similar to the Rin’negan’s corresponding ability. The user also receives the Gudoudama and thus has control over all elements.

1. Rin’ne Sharingan

The Rin’ne Sharingan is a Dōjutsu that has only been awakened by a few individuals. It is the origin of the Sharingan and Rin’negan eye techniques. The eye appears as an additional third eye on the user’s forehead. Its appearance is that of a red Rin’negan with nine Tomoe. After Kaguya Otsutsuki ate the chakra fruit, the eye on her forehead awakened. This was later transferred to the monster she created, Juubi.

Many years later, when Madara Uchiha became the Juubi’s Jinchuuriki and turned to the moon with his two Rin’negan, he also awakened this jutsu. skills With this Dōjutsu, you can activate one of the most powerful jutsu ever – the Infinite Tsukuyomi in conjunction with Shin: Jukai Koutan. Furthermore, Kaguya Otsutsuki uses the eye to move back and forth between dimensions. The Yomotsu Hirasaka also seems to be connected to this.

The five weakest Eye Techniques (Dōjutsu) in Naruto

In this section, we are going to rank the five weakest Dōjutsu in Naruto, starting with number five, and then continuing to number one.

5. Jōgan

The Jōgan is a unique Kekkei Genkai, which could be a kind of intermediate stage between Byakugan and Tenseigan and, therefore, of course, functions primarily like a Byakugan but can be used even more precisely and efficiently. Visually, it also looks very similar to the Tenseigan but is less colorful and instead has more white-blue luminous tones.

In addition, when activated, the sclera turns black, and the iris and pupil begin to glow white, which clearly sets it apart from the other two techniques. So far, only Boruto Uzumaki has managed to awaken the Jōgan in his right eye, so nothing is known about what it could do if it were in both eyes.

4. Ketsuryūgan

The Ketsuryūgan is the Dōjutsu and kekkei genkai of the Chinoike clan. When activated, blood flows from the eyes, and they glow red. The users were notorious as dangerous Genjutsu users and could control blood or any fluid that contained enough iron. Many of the members died in the Jigokudani, to which the clan was banished because of their alleged actions. The only known users of this Dōjutsu are Chino and En Oyashiro. The use of the Ketsuryūgan is associated with an increase in aggressiveness.

3. Ranmaru’s Dōjutsu

With this Dōjutsu, Ranmaru can see several meters through walls, rocks, etc., and sense chakra, similar to the Byakugan. However, he cannot say exactly where the chakra’s origins are. Furthermore, it can create a chakra-circulating body that is even capable of deceiving the Byakugan. Additionally, Ranmaru can accurately determine whether a creature is still alive. He notices that Raiga is still alive after the first fight, even though Neji thinks he is dead through his Byakugan.

2. Yome’s Dōjutsu

Another interesting Dōjutsu is the one held by Yome, which isn’t useful in battle but interesting. When activated, Yome’s pupils dilate, and the Dōjutsu gives her a better perception. She can track anyone using tiny water droplets and use these abilities to ameliorate her evasive skills in battle.

1. Shion’s Dōjutsu

Shion’s special Dōjutsu appeared only in the non-canon Naruto Shippūden the Movie. The Dōjutsu is very vivid and it has beautiful colors, but it is not very useful in battle, which is why we have listed it as the weakest Dōjutsu in the series. It allows Shion to look into someone’s future and is generally activated involuntarily; it shows how a person will die.
