Isekai is an unofficial Japanese anime genre, generally describing a story where the hero gets themselves teleported to or reborn in another world, such as a faraway fantasy realm or even a video game's world. Such anime usually star a protagonist who must figure out the rules of this new world, and those heroes and their allies tend to have cool weapons and outfits.
Some isekai heroes simply wear the everyday clothes from their original world, such as the Sora/Shiro pair in No Game No Life, or they have fairly bland, generic, or perhaps impractical attire at times. Fortunately, plenty of other isekai leads have cool, appropriate outfits that dazzle viewers time and again. Many of them are also ripe for some fun cosplay, too.
10 Rimuru Tempest's Outfit Is Subtly Stylish (That Time I Got Reincarnated As A Slime)
The OP isekai hero Rimuru Tempest is compelling not because of his overwhelming powers and abilities, but because he is a heroic optimist who welcomes monsters of all kinds into his new kingdom. Rimuru's default body is a blue slime, but after consuming Shizue Izawa, he gained an androgynous human form.
In human form, Rimuru dresses will with an outfit made up of mostly blue clothing, but he also has a fur-like scarf, black pants, and dark blue boots, not to mention a sheathed sword. It's not the most dazzling outfit ever, but it suits Rimuru well and is easy to move around in.
9 Darkness Can Move Well In Her Armor (Konosuba)
While Megumin the explosion witch and Aqua wear outfits that are arguably too revealing for proper fantasy adventures, the crusader Darkness chose the best possible outfit for the job. She is a defensive warrior who enjoys getting beat up by monsters, so it's a good thing her armor is high-quality.
Darkness looks great in her crusader attire, being well-protected while also having a charming and unique look during her adventures with Kazuma. For that matter, Darkness also looks good in her everyday clothes and even her frilly pink pajamas.
8 Subaru Natsuki Volunteered As A Butler (Re:Zero)
For the most part, the hapless isekai hero Subaru Natsuki wears his plain old tracksuit, which is nothing special. But for a time, Subaru was actually one of isekai's best-dressed heroes, having donned a proper butler uniform to help out at the Roswaal Estate.
Subaru was grateful for Roswaal Mathers, and the Ram and Rem sisters for saving him, so he repaid them by working as a butler, from peeling potatoes to scrubbing the bath and trimming the hedges. It sure beat his regular outfit, that much is certain.
7 Senku Ishigami Did His Best To Dress Up (Dr. Stone)
The Stone Age isekai hero and brilliant kid scientist Senku Ishigami, didn't have the option to buy a new outfit from a tailor or even raid someone's clothesline. He awoke from the stone totally nude, and he had to use natural resources to make clothing, shelter, tools, and more. He soon got to work.
Senku crafted a neat outfit made of animal skins, a practical and reliable outfit to have in this primitive, post-civilization future. Senku even crafted shoes to protect his feet from cuts or other hazards, and most of all, he used his own blood to write the famous "E = mc2" on the jacket.
6 Ainz Ooal Gown Has Awesome Armor (Overlord)
The skeletal overlord Ainz Ooal Gown normally wears cool villain robes in his fortress, but when he undertakes a quest in person, he would rather disguise his skeletal nature and pass himself off as a more ordinary adventurer. So, he picked out the perfect attire for the job.
Ainz's armor suit looks incredibly cool, from its shiny black plating and yellow highlights to the red cape and most of all, the helmet that hides his skull head. In this attire, he can freely venture into cities and not attract undue attention. And that armor seems pretty easy to move around in, too.
5 Asmodeus Alice Dresses Sharply (Welcome To Demon School, Iruma-Kun!)
Asmodeus Alice and his new friend, Azazel Ameri, don't typically wear the official Babyls school uniform. Instead, they have their own, much fancier outfits. Asmodeus Alice, in particular, looks his best in a white, black, and gold ensemble. He and his succubus-like mother are both sharp dressers, in fact.
Asmodeus wears a black dress shirt under a white waistcoat, and over that, he also wears a classy off-white coat with gold trim, along with white boots that also have some gold highlights on them. He can wear this outfit both at fancy dinner parties and on the battlefield.
4 Raphtalia's Practical Outfit Is Also Quite Charming (The Rising Of The Shield Hero)
Raphalia the tanuki girl swore to become Naofumi's sword, and she made good on that promise. On the open roads of Melromarc, Raphtalia looks good in her outfit, which includes knee-high leather boots with laces, durable gloves, a light beige long-sleeved shirt, and jacket with a short skirt.
This attire gives Raphtalia an appreciable girly charm, but it's also a practical ensemble that is easy for Raphtalia to move around in. After all, she needs to remain light on her feet to strike at Naofumi's enemies, and her attire never slows her down. Later, in L'Arc's world, she gained a new outfit that made her look a bit like InuYasha.
3 Asuna Yuuki's Outfit Is Dazzling (Sword Art Online)
During the Aincrad story arc of Sword Art Online, Asuna Yuuki looked her best in her Knights of the Blood Oath guild uniform. Asuna's attire included durable white boots, white leggings with red guild markings on them, a short red skirt, and even sleeves to cover her arms while leaving her hands bare.
