Highlights

  • Crunchyroll is now available as an add-on channel with Prime Video for the same price as its standalone subscriptions.
  • Subscribing to Crunchyroll through Prime Video means all your streaming content is in one place, without the need for extra apps.
  • The Mega Fan membership option offers additional perks like offline viewing, early access to events, and discounts on purchases.

There’s no denying that Crunchyroll is the premiere spot to get the best in anime, and now it’s even easier. Crunchyroll is already available to subscribe to directly, and it has three membership tiers: Fan, Mega Fan, and Ultimate Fan, at $8, $10, and $15, respectively.

But for those who already have Prime membership in the U.S., Crunchyroll is now available as an add-on channel with Prime Video for the same price on the Fan and Mega Fan membership options. More information is below, so keep reading.

What Is The Crunchyroll Prime Video Add-On Channel?

Prime Video members who opt to add Crunchyroll as an add-on channel will get to stream the entire Crunchyroll library, ad-free, and also be able to enjoy new episodes shortly after release in Japan. The Mega Fan membership option offers a few extras that the Fan option doesn’t have. These include offline viewing, early access to special Crunchyroll Expo events and lotteries, and $15 off your $100 purchase in the Crunchyroll Store every three months.

But if there is no price discount to get the channel through Prime Video, what exactly is the incentive? Well, in a world of plenty when it comes to streaming apps, passwords, and memberships to keep track of, it really just means that Prime members can subscribe to any Prime Video Channel, including Crunchyroll, with no extra apps to download beyond Prime Video. Everything will be in one place and accessed via the one Prime Video app, along with whatever other add-on channels you may have, like Paramount Plus, Starz, or Max.

Of course, if you don’t already have a Prime membership, now is a good time to grab it before you start your holiday shopping. You can get a free 30-day trial (and then a free Crunchyroll trial, as well), which includes fast and free shipping and exclusive member-only discounts – something to also consider with Black Friday fast approaching. Grab your free trials of both Prime Video and Crunchyroll below and cancel at any time.
