The short narrative by Oshi no Ko's creator that inspired "Idol," the hit opening song of Oshi no Ko, has been released.

According to Anime Dork, Aka Akasaka, the author of Oshi no Ko, has released a new short story titled 45510. The brief story is told from the point of view of one of the B-Komachi members. 45510, presented from the perspective of unknown B-Komachi members, sheds light on Ai's more vulnerable side, as well as the hurry and need to put on a 'idol' face for fans. The title 45510 refers to Ai's phone passcode and the initials of B-Komachi's founding members. The short story was published on the Young Jump website on April 12, 2023.

 

Oshi no Ko's Theme Broke 1 Million Views After Being Uploaded

YOASOBI's opening song "Idol" broke numerous records and topped the Billboard Japan chart during the week of April 19, beating out strong contenders such as Detective Conan's "Utsukushii Hiré," performed by Spitz, and Demon Slayer's opening song "Kizuna no Kiseki," performed by MAN WITH A MISSION and milet, which came in fourth. "Idol" achieved a million views inside the first eight hours of uploading and now has over 33 million views since its April 12, 2023 debut on YouTube.

Oshi no Ko premiered in Weekly Young Jump in April 2020, written by Akasaka and illustrated by Mengo Yokoyari, and presently has 11 tankbon volumes as of March 2023. Doga Kobo (Monthly Girls' Nozaki-Kun and Plastic Memories) will release the anime adaption on April 12, 2023. The first episode received widespread acclaim from reviewers and fans, and it became the most successful premiere on the HIDIVE streaming platform. Oshi no Ko also received a 9.32 rating on My Anime List, beating out other highly anticipated anime series such as Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba and Hell's Paradise.

 

Oshi no Ko follows the life of Aqua and Ruby Hoshino, the secret twin children of idol star Ai. However, these twins are no ordinary twins: Aqua is the reincarnation of Gorou Amemiya, the gynecologist who treated Ai during her pregnancy, while Ruby is the reincarnation of Sarina Tendōji, the patient Gorou treated before she passed away. After Ai's death, the twins ultimately end up on separate paths, with Aqua determined to find the person responsible for Ai's and his death while Ruby aims to become an idol like her mother.

While there is currently no official English translation for 45510, fans can still read it via Young Jump.
