Mirko, the Rabbit Hero (aka Rumi Usagiyama), is ready to fight his way into a new My Hero Academia cosplay.

YesYamCos created and shared the costume on Reddit, recreating the pro's distinctive combat gear, featuring the white and purple sleeveless leotard and white gloves. The cosplay embodies their inner Mirko in the posted photographs by displaying their well-defined muscles.

My Hero Academia Mirko's Strong Popularity

Rumi has inspired a multitude of fan-made content in the My Hero Academia fandom, particularly cosplay of her heroic demeanour. Another Reddit user, MC_707, demonstrated their take of the No. 5 Pro Hero's uniform. More notably, Grammy-winning rapper Megan Thee Stallion firmly validated her anime fan credentials by showcasing her Rabbit Quirk wielding cosplay.

My Hero Academia is set in a future when the majority of people have an innate superpower known as a Quirk. The story revolves around Izuku Midoriya, a devout high school student who aspires to be a great hero like his idol, All Might. The young man, however, was born Quirkless, but it doesn't stop the hardworking green-haired adolescent from following his dream.

About My Hero Academia

Mangaka Kohei Horikoshi began publishing his ongoing manga in Shueisha's Weekly Shōnen Jump in July 2014 and so far, the series has produced over 38 volumes. It has performed well with critics, even winning several prominent awards like the Best Manga category at the Sugoi Japan Awards in 2017 and the Best Shōnen category at the Japan Expo Awards in 2018. My Hero Academia has also been a major financial success; not only has it cracked the top ten of the New York Times Bestsellers list for graphic novels multiple times, but it also stands as one of the best-selling manga in history with over 85 million copies in circulation globally.

The anime adaptation of My Hero Academia by studio Bones premiered in 2016 with its sixth season debuting in October 2022 and running for two consecutive cours. While the show has received substantial praise, even winning Hero of the Year the very first Crunchyroll Anime Awards, it also has received its fair share of criticism. Surprisingly, some have argued that the series would actually benefit from the inclusion of filler episodes in order to further develop many of its interesting side characters.

Horikoshi's manga is available on Manga Monster, and Bones' My Hero Academia anime adaptation is available on Hulu and Crunchyroll.
