Chainsaw Man Chapter 132 Recap

The most recent installment of the hit series, Chapter 132, picked up just where the last installment left off, with Nayuta in school. She utilised her control abilities to steal her friends' desserts before the kids started talking about all the absent classmates. Following that, armed men stormed the school and grabbed Nayuta. Meanwhile, Asa awoke in a hospital and witnessed the fatalities and injuries brought about by her and Denji's encounter with the Falling Devil. She then turned on the television and saw Haruka Iseumi trying to recruit people for his "Chainsaw Man Society for World Peace" group.

The story then switched to Denji, who had been stripped down to his underwear and tied to a chair. Hirofumi Yoshida told the protagonist he was glad he had managed to "protect" him. Denji became enraged with this and demanded to know the whereabouts of Asa, Nayuta, and the dogs, to which Yoshida replied by saying they were also being "protected." Denji threatened to kill him before mockingly offering sexual favors as a thank you. This bizarre final moment kicked up a stir in the Chainsaw Man fanbase.

Fujimoto's irreverent series is one of the most popular new-gen properties in the animanga industry, often linked alongside Hell's Paradise and Jujutsu Kaisen as part of the "Shonen Dark Trio." Despite the manga's continued success, the anime adaptation from Studio MAPPA has received poor DVD sales. This has been most notable after recent rumors that the anime's adult parody had reportedly outsold the mainline series. Chainsaw Man fans, however, are still supporting the property, with a continued fan community creating unique artwork, including a CSM Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom-inspired illustration.

Studio MAPPA's anime is available to watch on Crunchyroll. The manga can be read on the MangaMonster website.
