Blue Lock chapter 230: Yoichi Isagi teams up with Hiori Yo hoping to score the winning goal

In Blue Lock‘s 230th chapter release, enthusiasts were at last treated to the entry of Hiori Yo onto the field. As the primary strikers were sent off, making way for the substitution of Kiyora Jin with Noel Noa, Yoichi Isagi appeared with an innovative proposition. Nonetheless, it took a considerable amount of persuasion before the master striker, Noel Noa, embraced the proposition.

In the prior episode, the audience was presented with the backstory of Marc Snuffy, along with his friend Mick who had declined to strive for the pinnacle. Subsequent to Mick’s passing, Snuffy formulated a plan to secure all five major championships and fulfill his friend’s aspiration. Just as Snuffy was contemplating retirement, Shoei Barou implored him to reconsider, a request potent enough to sway the seasoned striker’s decision.

In Blue Lock’s 230th chapter, titled “Buddy,” the global audience erupted with joy upon learning of Marc Snuffy’s decision to reverse his retirement. This event turned Blue Lock into the most sizzling destination in the realm of football. While Ubers celebrated Barou’s goal and Snuffy’s choice to continue playing, Yoichi Isagi found himself grappling with frustration.

Isagi’s ire stemmed from the fact that Barou had managed to wrest the spotlight away from him. Just as Isagi had aspired to score and take center stage in the match, Barou skillfully outmaneuvered both him and Kaiser, netting a goal through a nutmeg maneuver. It was at this point that Raichi Jingo approached Isagi with an apology for not being able to effectively mark down Snuffy. Nevertheless, Isagi remained steadfast in his belief that their concession of the goal was due to his own shortcomings. He reassured Raichi that he had performed admirably.

Subsequently, Isagi found himself in a state of helplessness, unable to devise a strategy to counter Shoei Barou and Michael Kaiser effectively. Just then, the announcer unveiled that the three-minute star change system window had concluded. This signified that the master strikers were to return to the sidelines, granting Isagi the opportunity to craft a fresh approach.

Leading the way was Marc Snuffy, who called Sendoh back into the game. Meanwhile, Noel Noa aimed to reintegrate Kurona Ranze into the match, but recognizing his lack of fitness, he turned to Kiyora Jin for substitution. At this juncture, Isagi intervened, breaking the master striker’s deliberation.

Isagi acknowledged Kiyora’s exceptional skills, yet pointed out that his style of play closely mirrored Kurona’s, making it relatively easy for Ubers to counter. Thus, Isagi put forth the idea that the master striker should permit Hiori Yo to enter the game instead.

Noel Noa found himself puzzled by Isagi’s desire to have Hiori Yo enter the match. Seeking an explanation, Isagi unveiled his conviction that Hiori Yo’s style of play harmonized perfectly with his own, a combination that held the potential to pave the way for a goal. Noel Noa swiftly dismissed the suggestion, deeming it irrational from his perspective. It was then that Hiori Yo interjected, highlighting the similarity in his approach to the game and Isagi’s. This alignment, he argued, would alleviate the burden on Isagi, ultimately contributing to overcoming the Ubers.

In light of Hiori’s input, Noel conceded to the request. However, he presented a counterproposal of his own. Should Isagi and Hiori falter, they would promptly lose their spots in the starting lineup. Undeterred, Isagi and Hiori embraced the challenge, forming a partnership to face off against the Ubers.

Blue Lock chapter 230 saw Hiori Yo join the match. With that, fans can expect the duo to bypass Ubers’ defense and create chances. Given that Isagi would be the mastermind between the two, there is a good chance that he will score the winning goal for Bastard Munchen. That said, there remains a small possibility that Hiori may get to score the goal.
