10 K-Dramas On Netflix & Streaming Sites With Shockingly “Hot” Scenes, From The Glory To Nevertheless

Jan 26, 2024
Scenes rated for mature audiences, which involve intense romantic moments and physical affection, are rarely depicted in K-dramas. Characters typically limit their interactions to kissing scenes, and the camera often shifts away from more explicit content. While such scenes may still be considered taboo in South Korea, there are a few K-dramas that have challenged conventional norms by featuring more intimate scenes.
10 K-Dramas On Netflix & Streaming Sites With Shockingly “Hot” Scenes, From The Glory To Nevertheless

1. Eve – Viu (2022)

You're not alone if you're surprised by the unexpected scene that happened in the first episode of Eve ‒ Lee Rael and her husband were feeling playful and connecting after performing at a kindergarten event.

While the scene might have seemed a bit sudden for my liking, it shows how Rael is a woman who enjoys living life on the edge, and suggests that she is determined to make her revenge plan work.

2. The Glory – Netflix (2022)

One of Netflix's most recent trending shows is The Glory, a K-drama that addresses issues of bullying and revenge. While a particular scene is unrelated to the protagonist, it involves two of the bullies, Park Yeojin and Jeon Jaejun, who display a close relationship.

Even when Yeojin decided to marry another man, she betrayed her soon-to-be husband with Jaejun. The two were engaged in private activities in Jaejun's fashion boutique, and they even had staff cordon off the area, falsely claiming there was a maintenance issue.

As their connection didn't appear to be rooted in romantic feelings, it seemed like they were merely seeking solace in each other's company.

This touching scene takes place in a beach house, where the characters share a profound bond. Pildo demonstrates care for Jiwoo as they connect emotionally, displaying affection in a subtle manner. Although the scene conveys vulnerability, it refrains from explicit content, allowing viewers to stay engaged without the need for interruptions.

Once again assuming the role of the female lead, Han Sohee portrays Nabi alongside Song Kang as Park Jaeon in Nevertheless. A tender moment, perhaps a fragment of Nabi's imagination, unfolds, unveiling the feelings she holds for Park Jaeon.

He enters her residence in haste, exchanging a fervent kiss before the scene changes. Following this, the story suggests a development in their connection, but Nabi awakens from her reverie before any explicit event takes place.

Squid Game took an unexpected turn from the intense games when viewers saw Kim Jooryeong as Han Minyeo engaging in a private moment with Heo Sungtae as Deoksu in a secluded area. For those who didn’t catch the award-winning series, Han Minyeo resorted to forming a connection as a way to survive, since Deoksu was noted to be a strong contender in the games. She hoped that by doing something for him, she would also get something in return ‒ in this case, protection.

The night doesn’t end with them just cuddling on the bed as the couple takes their relationship to the next level – if you understand what I mean.

As expected, she gets upset and asks him to leave her house.
