In the previous chapter, that is Chapter 70, Matina suggests the child to the man but the man seriously replies that her lifestyle of traveling often might make it difficult. Matina tells him that he can take anything as a joke.
She asks the servants to get twice the desserts for Sherina who is delighted for the desserts. Kaishan seeing as how Sherina loves the strawberry jelly dessert, gives his share to her. Matina is impressed and embraces her in her arms.
She asks what he wants for his birthday. Sherina is surprised to find she is jealous of her brother. She asks them permission to take leave and have the remaining jelly in her room and she wants to be left alone.
Her father picks her up but she refuses and he puts her back down. Her father guides her to where her room is and she goes there alone. Martina finds her to be mature for her age as she looks to Sherina waddling towards her room all alone without anyone helping her.
She tells him that she is independent and strangely lonely at times. She apologizes for saying what was on her mind. She tells Charente, Sherina’s father that she is surprised to see new things about him and he often acts cold towards them usually all the time.
She then teases him and invites him to her room. He obliges. He says that he will be there after the children have gone to bed. And Matina is happy they will spend some time together.

In the upcoming chapter, that is Chapter 71, we will be able to see what is exactly going on in Sherina’s mind. Sherina has always been a quiet character and does not speak her mind often so we can only tell by what she is thinking to herself.
