Highlights

  • Straw Hat Pirates are the main heroes in One Piece, facing various obstacles on their journey to their ultimate goal.
  • Imu, the Highest Authority within the World Government, is a mysterious character with unknown abilities and a desire to eliminate Monkey D. Luffy.
  • The Red Hair Pirates, led by Shanks, are one of the strongest pirate crews, with a showdown with the Straw Hat Pirates inevitable due to their shared goal of finding the One Piece.

The Straw Hat Pirates are the main heroes in One Piece. The crew was formed in the East Blue Saga, and since then it has grown and doubled in size. Currently, the Straw Hat Pirates have a total of ten members, and each of them serves a unique purpose.

Together, they have taken down many enemies and made their name around the world. Their efforts have made them one of the most feared pirate crews in the world. But there are still many obstacles blocking their path to the ultimate goal, and they will have to vanquish them.

5 Imu

The Highest Authority Within The World Government

Imu is still one of the most mysterious characters in One Piece. Despite the manga releasing over 1000 chapters, there is still very limited information available pertaining to this particular character. From the details revealed so far, it is clear that Imu is the true ruler of the world and has been for many years, possibly centuries.

Imu’s everlasting youth is possibly due to the power of the Ope Ope no Mi. Imu’s immortality implies that they have been alive for centuries, probably before the Void Century. It is believed that Imu was responsible for provoking the nations into destroying the Great Kingdom.

Imu has already expressed their desire to get rid of Monkey D. Luffy, as they consider them a threat to their authoritarian regime. Since Imu holds such a high position, it is likely that the Straw Hats will come after him last. As the final villain in One Piece, Imu is bound to have some kind of overpowered ability, but for now, it remains a mystery.

4 Red Hair Pirates

The Most Balanced Crew

The Red Hair Pirates are one of the strongest, if not the strongest, pirate crews in One Piece. They are led by Shanks, who is an Emperor of the Sea. Shanks possesses all three types of Haki, and he is arguably the best at using them. Shanks does not have a Devil Fruit, but that hasn’t stopped him from becoming a feared pirate. Besides Shanks, the Red Hair Pirates have other notable members, such as Ben Beckman, Yasopp, and Lucky Roux.

There are other officers within the crew, but these three stand out the most. The Red Hair Pirates are balanced just like the Straw Hat Pirates, so a fight between them will be worth watching. While the two sides do not have any enmity towards each other, a showdown between them is inevitable, especially when both captains are looking for the same thing. Sooner or later, the two crews will have to duel it out so that one can claim the One Piece.

3 Blackbeard Pirates

The Endgame Villains

Captained by Marshall D. Teach, the Blackbeard Pirates are among the most vicious crews in One Piece. The crew came into existence after Blackbeard murdered Thatch and ran away with the Yami Yami no Mi. Initially, the Blackbeard Pirates had five members, but they added to their numbers after raiding Impel Down, where they freed the most heinous criminals in history.

Many fans strongly believe that the Blackbeard Pirates will be the last test for Luffy and his friends. Blackbeard already has three Road Poneglyphs, and he has even kidnapped Charlotte Pudding, as she can decipher them with her third eye.

So, in theory, Blackbeard is one of the people closest to the One Piece. Luffy despises Blackbeard, as the latter was responsible for capturing Ace and handing him over to the Marines. When Blackbeard and Luffy face each other in the future, only one of them will emerge alive.

2 Cross Guild

Biggest Threat To The Existence Of The Marines

The Cross Guild appeared out of thin air, and it became the biggest threat to the Marines. The founders, Crocodile and Mihawk, found a way to cause problems for the Marines around the world. They decided to put bounties on Marines, depending on their rank. This caused the regular people and bounty hunters to actively chase after the so-called soldiers of justice.

The leadership of the Cross Guild fell into the hands of Buggy by a stroke of luck. Crocodile and Mihawk were unhappy with the situation, but they decided to let Buggy take the brunt of their actions. After another unexpected turn, Buggy stated his desire to claim the One Piece, putting Cross Guild in contention. While the odds of a clash between the two groups happening are low, it would be unwise to rule it out completely.

1 Akainu

The Fleet Admiral

Akainu is the current Fleet Admiral of the Marines. He obtained the position after beating Kuzan in a grueling battle on Punk Hazard that lasted for several days. Akainu is a dangerous individual who follows Absolute Justice, so he will not spare anyone who obstructs him. He would have killed Koby in Marineford if Shanks had not intervened and stopped him from doing so.

Akainu possesses the Magu Magu no Mi, a Logia-type Devil Fruit that allows him to manipulate magma at will. It has extremely high destructive power, as evidenced by the demolition of pirates in the Summit War. Akainu despises Luffy, and if his Admirals fail to stop the Emperor, he will have no option but to step in. Luffy will want to win at all costs, as Akainu was responsible for punching a hole through Ace’s torso.
