Jujutsu Kaisen recently made its return after a month-long break with a new chapter to add to the already incredible Shinjuku Showdown arc, and it is safe to say that it lived up to all expectations. Much to the surprise of the fans, JJK did not drop chapter 263 this week. Instead, the second part of chapter 262 was released, which essentially confirmed the fact that Gege left the previous chapter incomplete last time around.
As such, JJK chapter 262 part 2 was what fans got this week, and it is safe to say that it delivered a major shock to all the readers. As things stand, the battle between Yuta and Sukuna continues, but there has been a major breakthrough that could lead to Yuta winning this clash in the upcoming chapter. That, and much more happened in this week’s chapter.
Yuta Vs Sukuna Continues
Yuta Showcased Close Range Combat Skills Vs Sukuna
Fans knew they were going to see an exciting battle between Yuta and Sukuna in JJK chapter 263. That is precisely what they got, and, just as a lot of the readers had predicted, the battle inside the domain continued. There were only two directions this battle could go in. Either the author could have had Yuta and Sukuna engage in multiple domain battles, just as Gojo and Sukuna did and the beginning of the arc, or, there was going to be one prolonged battle between these two, which is what the author seems to be going with. As such, there was absolutely no way that the domain clash was ending in this chapter and fans are certainly going to see it continuing in next week’s chapter as well. As far as Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 262 part 2 goes, fans got to see hand-to-hand combat continue inside the domain.
Previously, Yuta got a taste of Sukuna’s domain amplification breaking through his Limitless even inside the domain. After being hit once, he became wary of the fact that Sukuna can counter Limitless. As such, Yuta is now on his guard. He actually did pretty well inside the domain in the first few pages of the chapter. He was seen throwing Sukuna, and landing a few powerful punches on him. However, as the battle prolonged, Yuta struggled to make use of Gojo’s ability, and at the same time, to adjust to his body as well.
Since the beginning of the series, Gojo has been portrayed to be the strongest. Of course, many fans believe that much of his strength comes from his Limitless technique and the Six Eyes that he was blessed with. This is true to a certain extent, however, JJK chapter 262 part 2 essentially confirms that there’s much more to Gojo’s strength than just his cursed technique. Yuta was completely unable to make this technique work properly, given that he did not have enough training to make proper use of it. In fact, he mentioned that the Limitless is even more intricate than any other cursed technique, which just goes to show that it is actually much harder to control for anyone.
As such, for Gojo to have reached the level that he did, he must have put hours upon hours of training in getting as good as he was. This shatters the notion of Gojo being strong because of his technique. Had he not trained as hard as he did, Gojo would certainly not have been the strongest.
Clearly, in JJK chapter 262 part 2, Yuta was seen struggling making use of the Limitless properly, and Sukuna even went as far as to say that Yuta’s technique is essentially useless, given the way he was using it. The fact that he couldn’t even make use of Rika made him even weaker since he couldn’t rely on the powers of Copy anymore. As the battle continued, Sukuna started growing even more and more, and it became evident that he was going to win this clash. Yuta even struggled to get used to Gojo’s body and the size of his arms. In JJK chapter 262 part 2, fans got to see Yuta struggle greatly. The sorcerer himself went on to confirm that he couldn’t use copied techniques because Rika is currently still tied to his original body. This means all he has access to is Limitless and Gojo’s own techniques. Yuta has had training utilizing Gojo’s powers, but it is certainly not enough. Sukuna even calculated that even if Yuta could use his copied techniques, he had enough of a counter to get around them.
That is precisely what happened in JJK chapter 262 part 2, but Yuta still managed to trick Sukuna by making use of a transmitter to allow Inumaki to join in the battle. Using the power of Blue, Yuta pushed a voice transmitter near sukuna’s ear. There, his voice popped out from it, telling Sukuna to not move. This was essentially a major shock for Sukuna, given that he did not expect Yuta to have to utilized such a technique. Even though Sukuna had accounted for Yuta making use of copied techniques somehow, what he did not expect was the real thing being utilized. Essentially, Inumaki helped out Yuta greatly and froze Sukuna in his place.
With that, Yuta got enough time to prepare the ultimate technique of his sensei, Hollow Purple. As it takes time, there is absolutely nothing that Sukuna can do to stop Hollow Purple from hitting him. Perhaps, a Binding Vow may save him, but as things stand, Yuta has a massive advantage at hand, and more likely than not, he will fire off Hollow Purple in the next chapter. If this Hollow Purple lands at such close proximity, there is absolutely no way that Sukuna is surviving or going to be in a condition where he can win this battle.
Fans simply have to sit back and wait for the next chapter to drop to see the fate of the King of Curses and whether Yuta has done the impossible and defeated him. At the same time, fans should also keep in mind that even if Yuta does defeat Sukuna, after 5 minutes, his own soul could very well pass, leaving Gojo’s body for dead and potentially his own as well. Yuta’s life hangs in the balance, and fans need to wait until the next chapter to see what happens next.
