What is Why Does No One Remember Me in This World? About?

Why Does No One Remember Me in This World? is based on a light novel of the same name, but is otherwise an all-new story. The good news about that is that you don’t need to watch or read anything before you start enjoying the anime. The story is set in the future, after the end of a war where five different races were fighting for who would rule the Earth. A hero named Sid was able to lead humanity to victory over the other races, but that is not the end of the story. Instead, the world is suddenly overwritten and changed, and the outcome of the war is very different.

In this new, overwritten world, Sid is curiously absent, and is forgotten by humanity. Instead of humans winning the war, they are defeated, and the world is overrun with dragons and demons. All of this happens before the eyes of a boy named Kai Sakura Vento, who is determined to escape this rewritten world and find a new fate. No one may remember him in this new world, but he remembers everyone else. He teams up with a girl named Rinne, and using the powers and weapons of Sid, they fight to not only save the world, but to rewrite history one more time and escape this dark fate.
