Dragon Ball: Vegito’s Strongest Attacks, Ranked

When Dragon Ball introduced the concept of fusion with the creation of Gotenks in the Buu Saga, fans waited with bated breath for Goku and Vegeta to merge. When the merger eventually came with the Potara earrings, Vegito surpassed all fan expectations. The level of power that he brought into the series was unlike anything ever seen before in Dragon Ball.

In Vegito’s second appearance in the Goku Black arc of Dragon Ball Super, fans saw him achieve the fabled Super Saiyan Blue transformation, adding to his power even more. The moves that Vegito has used over the years are incredibly powerful and varied, so here’s a look at all the moves that make the fusion one of the most powerful characters in all of Dragon Ball.

7 Savage Counter

Debut: Dragon Ball Z episode 269

After Goku and Vegeta fuse for the first time, they form the legendary Vegito. This was the only warrior mighty enough to contend with Super Buu after he absorbed Ultimate Gohan, who himself was far stronger than even Super Saiyan 3 Goku.

After his formation, Vegito humiliates Super Buu, at one point using the Savage Counter. In this defensive but hard-hitting move, Vegito raises his knee to bait an attack by Buu. After Buu falls for the trap, Vegito swiftly counters with a flurry of kicks that damage Super Buu and send him flying.

6 Big Bang Flash

Debut: Dragon Ball Z episode 270

Taking Vegeta’s famous Big Bang Attack and making it his own, Super Vegito uses this variation of the move in the same fight against Super Buu. It is charged up similarly to Vegeta’s own Big Bang Attack, with Vegito extending out a single arm to the side and charging up a ball of blue Ki.

However, unlike Vegeta’s move, this variation takes the form of a long wave rather than just a ball of Ki. The move was powerful enough to reduce Buu to small pieces, though it didn’t kill him.

5 Super Kamehameha

Debut: Dragon Ball episode 144

Though Vegito has never explicitly been seen using this formidable Ki Blast, it is quite apparent that he can. This is because he merges the Goku’s signature move, Kamehameha, with Vegeta’s ultimate move, the Final Flash.

This creates one of the most devastating Ki blasts that exist in the entire world of Dragon Ball: the Super Kamehameha. The Super Kamehameha has the destructive output to completely erase opponents, as seen with Perfect Cell.

4 Final Flash

Debut: Dragon Ball Z episode 190

Much like the case with Goku’s Super Kamehameha, Vegito has never been seen using the Final Flash even though he can. He mixes the ultimate moves of Goku and Vegeta, the Super Kamehameha and Final Flash respectively, and fires off a deadly Ki blast called the Final Kamehameha.

This combination attack is far stronger than either of the two moves alone. The Final Flash is powerful enough to almost annihilate Perfect Cell, and the beam can be seen from space.

3 Scatter Finger Beam

Debut: Dragon Ball Z episode 270

During his fight against Super Buu in the anime, Vegito shows his skills and the difference in power many times during the fight. One of these times is when Super Buu uses his version of Gotenks’ Super Ghost Kamikaze Attack in order to overwhelm Vegito. However, Vegito is about to fight back.

Vegito does so by using the Scatter Finger Beam. This attack is done by creating five small balls of Ki, one at the end of each finger. He then shoots them out in a small but fast piercing attack that destroyed all the ghosts.

2 Final Kamehameha

Debut: Dragon Ball Super episode 66

Merged Zamasu proved too powerful for Goku and Vegeta to defeat, even while in their Super Saiyan Blue forms. This led them once again to fuse into Vegito to fight on equal footing. Unlike Vegito’s fight against Buu, however, this battle wasn’t as one-sided. Zamasu proved to be a match for the Saiyan at several moments of the clash.

However, Vegito continually got the upper hand and eventually released his devastating Final Kamehameh. This mixture of Goku and Vegeta’s final moves would incinerate just about any character they would face. Since both moves are notorious for being able to obliterate their opponent, the power that goes into a mixture of the two is unparalleled. Only a God like Zamasu could withstand such a blow.

1 Spirit Sword

Debut: Dragon Ball Z episode 270

In his fight against Buu, Vegito surprised fans multiple times by showing attacks that had never been seen before in the franchise. However, none of these moves came close to the Spirit Sword. This dense, concentrated beam of energy was so powerful that it could cut through and destroy pretty much anything.

After using a flurry of attacks on Buu, Vegito threw him into the rubble and used this attack to pierce through Buu and slice him apart. This move was seen again briefly in the fight against Zamasu, where Vegito used it to pierce the corrupted god’s heart.

Dragon Ball can be streamed on Crunchyroll and Funimation.
