It was confirmed on Saturday that the 5th season of Is It Wrong to Try and Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? (DanMachi) is currently in production. The announcement was made as part of the Is It Wrong to Try and Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? series 11th-anniversary event held on Saturday.
A brand-new key visual and teaser trailer for the upcoming 5th season of Is It Wrong to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? were also released. No broadcast information for DanMachi Season 5 has been made available as yet.

Is It Wrong to Try and Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? is set in the fictional fantasy land of Orario, where adventures form guilds or “familias” under the banner and guidance of a patron deity, with the intention of finding treasures in the underground labyrinth known as the Dungeon.
For rookie adventurer and the sole member of the Hestia Familia, Bell Cranel, the real objective is meeting girls, like his crush, the famous Ais Wallenstein from the Loki Familia, but he soon learns that the Dungeon is full of nasty surprises. In a world built much like a fantasy RPG, the strength of an adventurer is indicated by their Level, and throughout the series Bell develops from a helpless rabbit to a dependable hero.
The “Is It Wrong to Try and Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?” anime series is based on the light novel written by Fujino Ōmori with illustrations by Suzuhito Yasuda (illustrator, Durarara!! light novel). The DanMachi novel series is published under SB Creative’s GA Bunko imprint in Japan, and in English by Yen Press. The light novel has been running for 19 volumes so far since January 2015. The DanMachi anime series, produced by J.C. Staff (The Way of the Househusband, Bakuman) has four seasons thus far, with the first running for 13 episodes from April 2015 to September 2015, and was directed by Yoshiki Yamakawa.
The second ran for 12 episodes from July to September 2019, and the third for another 12 episodes from October to December 2020. The fourth season of Is It Wrong to Try and Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? was split over two 11-episode cours which ran from July to October 2022 and January to March 2023. The series changed directors to Hideki Tachibana (Director, Alice in Borderland) in season 2.
