One Piece has a vast cast of characters, which means that there is no shortage of unique fighters in the story. They employ unique fighting styles to get the better of their enemies. Some just focus on using their Devil Fruits, while others utilize Haki to fight. Combining the two is also a fairly common practice.
When these two things are not enough, some people pick up weapons to fight. Among these is a very small group of characters that have access to Supreme Grade or Saijo O-Wazamono grade weapons. It is said that there are a total of 12 Supreme Grade blades, but so far only five have been revealed. There are still many powerful characters who have weapons that might be confirmed as Supreme Grade in the future.
6 Saint Ethanbaron V. Nusjuro
One Of The Five Elders
The first name possibly on everyone’s lips when they mention Supreme Grade weapons is Saint. Ethanbaron V. Nusjuro, who serves as the Godhead of Finance. He has been seen with a sword multiple times, and while the grade has not been confirmed, it makes sense for him to have a Supreme Grade weapon.
For starters, he is one of the most important characters in One Piece. He is only supplanted in terms of authority by Imu, the leader of the World Government. Nusjuro may look old, but he is one of the best swordsmen in the series. He combines his swordplay with his Yokai transformation, which allows him to move at incredible speeds and freeze his enemies. Although it may be just conjecture, it is highly likely that he possesses the Shodai Kitetsu, which has been confirmed as a Supreme Grade blade.
5 Shanks
Currently The Most Powerful Emperor
Shanks is one of the Four Emperors of the Sea, meaning he is among the most dangerous pirates in the world. He is known for his mastery over all three types of Haki. His specialty is the Conqueror’s Haki, with which he can nullify the Observation Haki of his opponent. This alone makes him a force to be reckoned with.
For ages, there have been debates about whether Shanks is a swordsman or something more. In the past, he used to fight with Mihawk, which is a feat in itself. Considering his opponent had a Supreme Grade weapon, it would be only fair for Shanks to have one as well. If not because of his rivalry, then his status as an Emperor demands that he have one. If it turns out to be true, then Gryphon is a Supreme Grade sword.
4 Silvers Rayleigh
The Dark King
Silvers Rayleigh is one of the few notable characters remaining from Roger’s era. He used to be the right-hand man of the Pirate King, which made him among the most feared fighters of the time. While sailing with the Roger Pirates, Rayleigh made a name for himself and was given the epithet “Dark King.”
Rayleigh possesses an unnamed sword, which he has been carrying since his younger days. Rayleigh used the blade while fighting Kizaru, and he was successful in injuring him. In the Oden flashback, he likely used it against Vista, a talented swordsman in his own right. It has been confirmed that Rayleigh’s sword is a Meito, but the grade remains unknown. However, a living legend like him deserves nothing less than a Supreme Grade.
3 Shiki
A Legend From The Past
Shiki is another iconic character from the past, but unlike the rest, he has faded into oblivion. Shiki has had very limited appearances in the story, and all of them have been as part of a flashback. He has appeared in One Piece Strong World, but most of the content in non-canon as such cannot be used to gauge Shiki’s strength.
From what little information has been provided, it is apparent that Shiki was one of the most dominant figures of his time. He had a massive armada that could destroy entire crews, and this instilled fear into the hearts of his opponents. Shiki wielded two swords, Oto and Kogarashi. For a character to have two Supreme Grade blades would be overkill, but it is possible that one of them could be of the highest grade.
2 Rocks
Roger’s Greatest Rival
Rocks D. Xebec and his crew terrorized the world with their strength. While they were all top-notch pirates, Rocks’ name stood out the most. According to Sengoku, he was the greatest rival of Roger, even ahead of Whitebeard. Rocks was a ruthless man who had no concern about the well-being of others, including his own crew.
Rocks’ powers remain a mystery, but considering Kaido and Sengoku’s testimony, he was strong. In one of the panels, he could be seen wielding a sword, which could very likely be a Supreme Grade. Oda might reveal this information in the upcoming arcs.
1 Saint. Figarland Garling
Leader Of Holy Knights
Known as the Champion of the God Valley, Saint. Figarland Garling is the current leader of the Holy Knights, who are in charge of keeping peace in Marijoa. Figarland Garling’s authority supplants that of the regular Celestial Dragons, as he was able to execute Donquixote Homing without facing any repercussions.
Garling carries a sword with a broken hilt, implying that he participated in a grueling duel in the past. It seems rather obvious that he fought against the Rocks Pirates, where the hilt suffered some damage. Figarland Garling won many competitions and prizes, so it is possible that he won a Supreme Grade Weapon.
