My Hero Academia is in its final phase and, after an incredibly intense war, things have now started to wrap up, with the final fight in the entire series currently being illustrated by the author, Kohei Horikoshi. The final fights have been full of excitement to the brim, and now, things have started to wrap up.

If the word of the author is to be believed, fans are in for quite a lot of excitement in the post-war events of My Hero Academia. One of the most exciting things that all the fans of the series are very curious about is the Hero rankings following the defeat of All For One. Naturally, with the world having changed greatly following the defeat of All For One, the Hero system in general, as well as the Hero rankings, will drastically change.

The Current Number 1 Hero In MHA

Endeavor Has Maintained The Top Spot In MHA For A While Now

The hero rankings in My Hero Academia have always been one of the most exciting parts of the story. At the beginning of the series, All Might held the title of Number One and he dominated without anyone even getting close to him in terms of strength. All Might was the only hero capable of taking down All For One, and he proved that on multiple occasions in the story. He established an era of peace, and it was only during his time that the crime rate in Japan was incredibly low. All Might became a pillar for society to put their trust in, and he carried Japan on his back, ensuring that the villains stayed low. It goes without saying that All Might was extremely powerful. In fact, the difference between the Number One Hero and the Number Two, which was Endeavor, was absolutely massive.

I will become a Hero you can be proud of, too. – Endeavor to Shoto Todoroki

However, All Might’s era was not to be forever. After he transferred his Quirk to Deku, he was only left with embers of One For All. These embers were burned, and there, All Might’s Hero career came to an end forever.

After his fall, Endeavor ended up becoming the Number One Hero, which was the logical choice, given that he was right behind All Might for many years. After finally understanding the responsibility of being the Number One, Endeavor decided to fill in the boots of All Might, and he did reasonably well. In fact, he even got stronger while he held the title of Number One, and his fight against the High-end Nomu, and later on, even stronger enemies, such as Shigaraki and All For One, is proof of that. That said, Endeavor was never going to be the symbol of peace that All Might was, and even though he calmed the nerves of society, who, at the time, were very worried because they were left without a pillar to rely on, he was not enough for Japan to be safe forever.

The Strongest Hero In The World Right Now

Deku Is The Strongest in The World At The Moment

While Endeavor certainly did hold the position of number one for quite a long time, he was not the strongest, even when he held this position. There are many incredible Heroes in the world of My Hero Academia who have proven themselves to be on a very high level, and the one that stands atop them all is none other than Deku, the protagonist of the series. Deku has been the strongest among the Heroes for quite a while now. This is thanks to the incredible effort that he has put into honing his body, and at the same time, gaining the power of the One For All. Deku took quite a while to master the power of the One For All and, right now, he can use this ability reasonably well.

In fact, he has also mastered the vestiges of the Quirk to a great degree and incorporated them into the power of One For All in a way where he could even go beyond 100% if he needs to. Deku is utterly unstoppable in battle and his fight against Shigaraki is proof of that. In fact, he was the only one capable of fighting against Shigaraki, countering his incredibly powerful Decay, and dealing damage to him.

Yes, this is the story of how I became the greatest Hero.

In fact, the author even openly stated that Deku is the strongest in the world in the Final War Saga, and that is proof in itself that if there is to be a new Number One Hero in the world of My Hero Academia, it is going to be none other than Deku.

Of course, many factors come into play here, such as Deku’s current state, where he has even lost his quirk. While still has the embers of One For All in his body, whether or not that is enough is something that the fans need to sit back and analyze. This is precisely what opens up room for debate about who the next Number One Hero is going to be in the world of My Hero Academia moving forward.

The Hero Rankings After The War

The New Hero Rankings Could See An Unlikely Hero At The Top

The Hero rankings after the war are going to change drastically. For one, Endeavor has suffered quite a lot of damage, and it is highly unlikely that he will continue as the Number One Hero. In fact, he might even retire if the series goes through a short timeskip and the new generation is shown to have taken over from the old one. In that case, the Hero students that the fans followed for many years will have taken the mantle and led the new era in Japan. This is where the room for debate opens up.

If Deku does end up getting his Quirk back, then, there is absolutely no doubting the fact that he is going to be the Number One Hero. However, if Deku does not have his Quirk, then, he will likely not be the Number One Hero because, in that case, he would not have enough power in him to maintain this rank. Bakugo, his best friend, will most definitely get this position then and the likes of Shoto Todoroki will likely follow close behind. It is likely going to be one of those individuals who will be in the top three, provided that Deku does not lose his Quirk.

However, if Deku loses his powers permanently, then things are not looking too good for him and he might actually struggle to even break into the top five. Nonetheless, there is still a chance for him to get his quirk back, and it would only make sense if Deku, at the end of the series, is the Number One Hero that every fan wants him to be.
