- Devil Fruits like the Op-Op Fruit and Quake-Quake Fruit grant users immense power to control gravity and unleash destructive forces.
The best part about the entire One Piece power system, especially with regard to the Devil Fruits, is the diversity. Because of this, many characters in the series have insane and whacky powers that are so unique that they can’t really be found in any other Shonen anime series. However, along with these, there are also some Devil Fruits that give their users incredibly destructive offensive abilities.
Paramecia Types are the most common of all these fantastical objects on the Grand Line and, they’re the ones that typically have the most unique powers. With their uniqueness, however, also come a few Devil Fruits that have the power to destroy pretty much anyone or anything they come up against, as their primary focus is on offensive output. So, let’s take a look at these few Paramecia Type Devil Fruits and go over why they’re so overpowered in the world of One Piece!
The Ito Ito no Mi – The String-String Fruit
First Appearance |
One Piece, Episode 151, “The 100,000,000 Man! The World’s Highest Authority and the Pirate Blackbeard” |

Donquixote Doflamingo |
This fruit belongs to Donquixote Doflamingo, the most malevolent villain in the entire series, who also happens to be one of the greatest characters ever introduced in One Piece. This fruit is the perfect one for Doflamingo, as it works perfectly well with his sadistic personality and overall stature as one of the 7 Warlords of the Sea. His control over the strings produced from the fruit is masterful, allowing him to control anyone by using them.
There are no safe spaces on the battlefield!
Why it’s so dangerous:
The Ito Ito no Mi works perfectly for Doflamingo due to his nature as an evil manipulator who can use strings to control others into harming their allies or just committing vile acts that they don’t want to do. However, what makes them such a powerful offensive tool is the fact that they’re razor-sharp and incredibly durable, which lets them split entire meteorites apart. His role as a puppet master is what this fruit is most known for, but it’s also one of the strongest Paramecia Type Devil Fruits to have in a fight.
The Zushi Zushi no Mi – The Press-Press Fruit
First Appearance |
One Piece, Episode 631, “Full of Enthusiasm – Coridda Colosseum” |

Admiral Fujitora |
One of the most powerful Devil Fruits of them all, the Zushi Zushi no Mi allows Fujitora to manipulate the forces of gravity at will. Known for his austere personality, this is the perfect fruit for this character as it mirrors his imposing stature and unmatched strength as an Admiral in the Navy. His ability to manipulate gravity works to a great extent, as it lets him adjust his powers to as great or as little of an effect as he wants.
If you don’t want justice to be dishonored, keep it close to you at all times.
Why it’s so dangerous:
Fujitora can manipulate gravity to its greatest extent. With it, he can move relatively little things, like humans or debris, around with virtually no effort, but can even dial up the potency of his abilities to lift entire warships. The range of control that he has over gravitational forces seems to be incredible, as he was even shown to pull down meteors from the atmosphere. His control over gravity is so great that, when he uses the ability, it acts more like telekinesis, allowing him to move any matter however he wants.

The Ope Ope no Mi – The Op-Op Fruit
First Appearance |
One Piece, Episode 398, “Admiral Kizaru Moves! The Saobody Archipelago in Chaos!” |

Trafalgar D. Law |
One of the most versatile Devil Fruits in the entire series, Law’s Ope Ope no Mi gives him some of the most incredible powers. Since Law is a doctor, this fruit is perfect for him as it gives him the ability to cure otherwise incurable diseases, something that he was able to make full use of after he awakened it. This fruit is also called the ‘Ultimate Devil Fruit’ due to its ability to gift anyone with eternal youth in exchange for the user’s life.
People call me ‘The Surgeon of Death’.
Why it’s so dangerous:
Though the Ope Ope no Mi sounds like an extremely benevolent fruit, its offensive power truly shines because of its ‘room’ ability. Whenever Law uses this power, he creates a space separate from the outside world in which he can control every single aspect within it down to a molecular level, including the enemy themselves. He was shown to use this against many Marines, taking their heads or limbs off and placing them in other places. This type of free-range control over aspects inside this room makes the Ope Ope no Mi an incredibly powerful Devil Fruit.
The Gura Gura no Mi – The Quake-Quake Fruit
First Appearance |
One Piece, Episode 461, “The Beginning of the War! Ace and Whitebeard’s Past!” |
---|---|
Debut Date |
August 8, 2010 |

Whitebeard, Blackbeard |
Whitebeard was known as the strongest man in the world and part of the reason why he was, at one point, the pirate closest to the One Piece was because few would dare to challenge him. His Gura Gura no Mi Devil Fruit gave him the power to control and create vibrations, which he could then control to as great of an extent as he wanted. This level of control was so impressive that the Fleet Admiral of the Navy, Sengoku, even spoke about his power with a lot of caution!
It may very well be us that meet our end here today… Because that man… Holds the power to destroy the very world!
Why it’s so dangerous:
The Gura Gura no Mi is the most offensively powerful Devil Fruit of them all, including even Mythical Zoan and Logia fruits! This is because, when given free rein, the tremors that Whitebeard can create can be so strong that they can sink entire continents and can travel through any medium, whether it’s the ground, water, or even the air. Whitebeard has, on multiple occasions, been stated to have the ability to destroy the entire world if he ever chose to do so, correctly earning him the highest bounty in the entire world at that stage.
The Hito Hito no Mi, Model: Nika – The Nika-Nika Fruit/The Gomu Gomu no Mi – The Gum-Gum Fruit

Monkey D. Luffy |
Although it is technically a Mythical Zoan, the powers that the Hito Hito no Mi, Model: Nika grants Luffy are those of a Paramecia Type. For most of the runtime of the series, fans would see Luffy use the powers of his Devil Fruit without even really thinking much of it. However, a few hints would begin to be shown slowly that made fans think that there was more to this fruit than was previously thought. And, in the battle against Kaido, Luffy finally unlocked Gear 5, realizing the true identity of the Devil Fruit he had been carrying all this time.
They called him ‘Sun God Nika’. It was said he would bring laughter to their lips and free them from their suffering.
Why it’s so dangerous:
This Devil Fruit is the one that the World Government had been trying to get its hands on for ages, which goes to show how powerful it actually is. By turning Luffy into Sun God Nika, the Paramecia-esque powers of the Devil Fruit are dialed up to 11, as not only does Luffy have the power to make himself rubber, but he can also make anything else that he touches into rubber too. Because of this, many fans believe that Gear 5 has something akin to the Toon Force, making him arguably the strongest character in all of One Piece!
One Piece can be streamed on Crunchyroll.
