Academy’s Genius Swordmaster Chapter 13 will see Ronan facing off with the new character, Schlieffen. Ronan finally took the entrance exam and cleared it by ranking top (though he ranked 5712th in theory, lol). However, not everyone was happy with his performance.

Schlieffen seems like an arrogant noble who dislikes seeing people stronger than him. He may have thought he would rank 1st in both exams, but Ronan didn’t let that happen. He will try arguing with Ronan since all the spoiled noble brats act like that.

Academy’s Genius Swordmaster Chapter 12 Different from its Novel

So I decided to read the Novel, and this Manhwa is deleting whole scenes from the story, streamlining everything to explicitly showcase Ronan. I’m guessing a lot of stories wind up this way. The scene starts with an applicant going to the room, where we see Marya and Ronan alongside a nervous nobleboy.

Marya uses her social skills, and the boy becomes fond of her until she is forced to reveal she’s of common blood. A few different things happen from here, but it shows what is to be expected out of elitists in this world.

Some scenes about Aselle’s and Ronan’s trip to this place have also been cut. They would’ve brought more substance to the story, but as I said, these studios are simply streamlining canon and cutting out “fat,” even though that’s typically where the flavor comes from.
