Return Of The Bloodthirsty Police Chapter 26: Recap

The chapter opens up yet another revelation of the Hwaguksa group as we get introduced to the Lespedeza brothers. The two brothers, known as Lespedeza, were once normal orphans who wanted to be of use to someone.

These two brothers had something unique, and that was their disability. One of the two brothers had a weak upper body, while the other had a weak lower body.

Due to these disabilities, The Monk of Hwaguksa threw them in a room filled with children with physical defects. The two innocent children couldn’t accept that they had to die just because they were born with disabilities, and so they decided to become better.

They started killing and feeding on other children while also training their weak bodies. This went on for years until, one day, The Monk decided to open the room.

The training done by the two brothers made them extremely strong, and their fragile bodies improved.

The Monk finally took these two children under his care and named them the “Lespedeza Brothers.” Gyeongsoo watches the two of them in disgust as they are still the same as he remembers.

The Lespedeza notices Phoenix on Gyeongsoo’s back, so he questions her why she’s with a cop. The Brothers then prepare to attack because they have hated Phoenix for quite some time now, and this is the perfect opportunity for them to get rid of a “Yue.”

Now that even Bi Gwang’s dead, if Phoenix also falls, will only be 3 Yue left.

Gyeongsoo ignores the whinings of the Lespedeza brothers and asks Gyeonghee if she has called for backup yet. Gyeonghee says the backup would arrive in 10 minutes, so Gyeongsoo prepares to hold the Lespedeza off until then. Gyeongsoo prepares to battle but starts feeling like his body is losing strength.

Gyeongsoo suddenly notices that his face has been affected by the drug because of Phoenix’s blood, but before he can react, The Lespedeza launch an attack on him, causing him to go on the defense. Gyeongsoo tries to knock one of the Lespedeza, but he realizes he has lost too much strength.

The Lespedeza prepares to launch another attack, and so Gyeongsoo asks Phoenix to get out of the area with some of the cops.

Gyeongsoo then orders Gyeonghee to leave the area with everyone, but the Second Lespedeza brother blocks their way. Gyeongsoo realizes that his body will lose all strength soon, so he can’t drag the fight any longer.

Phoenix remembers how she has always been a burden to him, but she won’t just stand back and watch this time. She takes out a drug from her pocket and drinks it. The Lespedeza walks towards the fatigued Gyeongsoo to end things, but Phoenix blocks his path.

Phoenix apologizes to Gyeongsoo because she won’t be able to testify now, but she promises him that she will be the one to save him this time.
