Zom 100: Bucket List of the Dead Springs to Life on Crunchyroll in July

Crunchyroll has acquired the streaming rights to the dystopian horror-comedy anime, Zom 100: Bucket List of the Dead.

The prominent streaming platform recently announced that it would begin simulcasting Zom 100 weekly on July 9, 2:00 AM PT in North America, Australia, New Zealand, Latin America, Europe, the Middle East, North Africa and the Indian Subcontinent. Although these episodes will be subtitled, the series will later be dubbed into several major languages, including English, French, German, Italian and Latin American Spanish, among others. Crunchyroll unveiled a new trailer spotlighting protagonist 706z87″ title=”akira”>Akira Tendo and several other major characters to commemorate the announcement. This promo also features the series’ main theme, “Song of the Dead,” performed by the Japanese rock group, Kana-Boon.

BUG FILMS’ Zom 100: Bucket List of the Dead is inspired by the manga series of the same name, written by Haro Aso (Alice in Borderland) and illustrated by Kotaro Takata. The series revolves around a young man named 706z87″ title=”akira”>Akira Tendo, who despises his life working as an overworked, underpaid employee at an exploitative production company. One day, Tendo discovers that zombies have taken over Tokyo. Instead of being terrified, 706z87″ title=”akira”>Akira is overjoyed. Liberated from his awful job, 706z87″ title=”akira”>Akira gains a renewed vigor for life and sets out to do everything he’s dreamed of doing for years. Along the way, 706z87″ title=”akira”>Akira meets several allies, each trying to cope with the zombie apocalypse in their own unique ways.

Kazuki Kawagoe (Komi Can’t Communicate) directed Zom 100 alongside Assistant Director Hanako Ueda (Summer Time Rendering). Hiroshi Seko, best known for their work on Attack on Titan and 100-m7w9rxzq” title=”mob psycho 100“>100-myolz42o” title=”mob psycho 100“>Mob Psycho 100, was in charge of the series’ composition. The show features zombie designs by Junpei Fukuchi (Pokémon) and additional designs from Kii Tanaka (PuraOre! Pride of Orange.) Makoto Miyazaki (Spy x Family, One Punch Man) composed the series’ music. The show’s end theme song, “Happiness of the Dead,” is performed by Shiyui (Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch From Mercury).

Shokugeki no Soma) plays Beatrix Amerhauser, a foreign-born Japanese culture enthusiast who dreams of tasting the world’s finest sushi.
