- Disappointing villains like Kenjaku in Jujutsu Kaisen fail to establish a significant legacy due to unsatisfying ends.
The world of Jujutsu Kaisen has introduced fans to quite a lot of powerful individuals over the years. Many sorcerers have emerged in JJK over the years, but only a handful are capable of reaching incredibly high levels. There are many sorcerers that are born with tremendously high potential.
Unfortunately, not all of them get to fulfill their potential, and this is down to the fact that a lot of sorcerers end up dying before they reach their peak. At the same time, a lot of them are simply not focused on in the story, which leads to stagnation. Throughout the run of Jujutsu Kaisen, fans have seen quite a lot of sorcerers who either stagnated, or died and, as a result, could not meet their true potential.
5 Nobara Kugisaki
The Prodigy With The Straw Doll Technique
Nobara is one of the main characters in JJK and she was introduced in the story quite early. She wanted to become a powerful sorcerer, and she did look like she had tremendous potential. Nobara grew alongside Megumi and Yuji, however, while the other two became strong, Nobara didn’t, and this was simply down to the fact that she was killed off by the author in the most shocking of manners.
In fact, Nobara’s death was handled quite poorly by the author, and it can be said that her potential was completely destroyed, especially since she was one of the main characters. Nobara could have become a great sorcerer, potentially the strongest female sorcerer in the story, however, the author simply did not give her that opportunity.
4 Megumi Fushiguro
The Genius Of The Zenin Clan
Megumi Fushiguro is a character who is tremendously skilled. In fact, he can be considered to be one of the strongest sorcerers of his generation. Even more than that, Megumi possesses tremendous potential. According to Gojo, he can one day reach his level of strength. However, Megumi has not fulfilled his potential, and this is largely down to the fact that his body was used as a vessel by Sukuna for reincarnation purposes.
Ever since then, he hasn’t really played any significant role in the story himself, other than serving as a vessel for Sukuna. The story is also very close to the conclusion now, and it is highly unlikely that Megumi will get to fulfill the potential that he had hidden deep inside him.
3 Noritoshi Kamo
A Genius From One Of The Big Three Families
Noritoshi Kamo appeared to be quite an important individual at the beginning of Jujutsu Kaisen. This was down to the fact that he was one of the members of Kamo Clan, who would one day go on to make a great name for himself. He was to serve the same role as the likes of Megumi, and he would one day go on to represent his clan.
However, Noritoshi Kamo was cut out of the story and this was largely due to the fact that the plot became too focused on select individuals, leaving the others out entirely. Even in the Shinjuku Showdown Arc, he was hardly involved. This means that his growth as a user of blood manipulation has stagnated. Instead of him, Choso has been the better user of blood manipulation, and at the same time, has served a better role in the story.
2 Mai Zenin
A Child Of The Zenin Who Was Neglected By The Author
Mai Zenin was quite a skilled individual, although she wasn’t among the strongest. Born into the Zenin family, Mai had to deal with a lot, maintaining her beauty as well as strength to meet the standards set by society. Mai struggled a lot, however, she did the best she could in a society filled with prejudice towards her, and women in general.
Mai had the cursed technique of Construction. Even though she couldn’t make great use of it, this technique was actually quite strong, as was shown by Yorozu later down the line. Had Mai been able to bring out the true power of this cursed technique and manifest the domain expansion that Yorozu used, she could have become one of the strongest individuals of the modern era. Sadly, she was used as a sacrifice for her sister, Maki.
1 Kenjaku
One Of The Biggest Antagonists In JJK
Out of all the characters in JJK, the most disappointing of all is none other than Kenjaku. Kenjaku was one of the main villains of Jujutsu Kaisen. In fact, many even believed him to be an even bigger villain than Sukuna. However, for some bizarre reason, the author simply killed off Kenjaku in the most unsatisfying of ways.
Consequently, Kenjaku was not able to establish a significant legacy as a villain, and at the same time, went out in the most underwhelming of manners. He had a bigger role to play in Jujutsu Kaisen but he was not able to showcase his true strength, nor was he able to fulfill his true goals by himself.
