An incredible Bleach cosplay captures the style and personality of the former captain of the 2nd Division of the Gotei 13.

Popular cosplayer Dima_Batalov uploaded the Yoruichi cosplay on Reddit. The costume features the character’s iconic orange jacket, black stretch pants and her dark but vibrant purple hair. Dima_Batalov completed the look by posing in a way that perfectly embodies the Goddess of Flash’s profound confidence.

Yoruichi isn’t the only Soul Reaper who has inspired impressive instances of cosplay recently. Ukrainian cosplayer Firiat_Cat brought Renji Abarai, the lieutenant of the 6th Division, to life and showcased the intimidating potential of his whip-like Zanpakuto, Zabimaru. Similarly, Kaggi Cos took a swing at recreating Bleach protagonist Ichigo Kurosaki and masterfully captured the Substitute Soul Reaper’s spiky bright orange hairstyle.

Mangaka Tite Kubo first published his Bleach series in Shueisha’s Weekly Shōnen Jump in August 2001. The final chapter appeared in the magazine in August 2016. Bleach follows Ichigo as he emotionally and physically evolves from a high school delinquent who has the ability to see spirits to one of the world’s most powerful protectors.

Studio Pierrot (Yu Yu Hakusho) initially adapted Kubo’s story into an anime series that first aired its 366 episodes from October 2004 to March 2016. While the series covered most of the events of the manga, it left many of the final chapters unadapted until now. Studio Pierrot’s sequel show, Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War, premiered its first episode on Oct. 10, and the narrative depicts the story arc of the same name from Kubo’s manga. Many of the Japanese voice actors from the original anime have reprised their roles for Thousand-Year Blood War. The returning voice actors include Masakazu Morita (Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero) as Ichigo, Fumiko Orikasa (Digimon Tamers) as Rukia Kuchiki, Kentaro Ito (Naruto Shippūden) as Renji and Satsuki Yukino (Detective Conan: The Crimson Love Letter) as Yoruichi.

There Are Casting Changes for the English Dub

However, there have been some changes in terms of the cast for the English dub. While Johnny Yong Bosch (Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba) and Michelle Ruff (Lupin III vs. Detective Conan) are returning as Ichigo and Rukia, respectively, Jamieson Price, who played Yasutora Sado (aka Chad) in the first Bleach anime, turned down the role. He explained his reasoning in a Twitter thread and asked fans to welcome Alain Mesa as the new voice of Chad.

Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War is available to stream on Hulu in the United States.
