Ochaco Uraraka, also known as Uravity from My Hero Academia, comes to life in a ravishing cosplay by Aurisuna.

The Polish cosplay group Kalisiacos helped Aurisuna become the gravity-manipulating superheroine from Class 1-A. Kalisiacos shared a photo of Aurisuna as Ochaco on Reddit, reaping praise for their costume design and modeling. In the photo, Aurisuna is dressed as Ochaco in her high school uniform, sitting on a wooden bench as if she were waiting for Izuku “Deku” Midoriya to arrive. The cosplayer’s rendition of Ochaco is breathtaking and realistic enough to make fans feel as if the pro-hero-in-training just stepped into reality. In addition to Ochaco, Aurisuna has also done modeling as the Vtuber Gawr Gura and Yumeko Jabami from Kakegurui – Compulsive Gambler.

My Hero Academia Cosplay

Now in its sixth season, My Hero Academia’s anime TV series continues to inspire the creativity of fans old and new alike. In anticipation of the “Black Hero” story arc, one fan was decked out as the sinister-looking Dark Deku with green glowing eyes. Another fan went above and beyond as Tomura Shigaraki, dressed in the villain’s second costume, which is covered with disembodied hands. Even celebrities have gotten into the act of cosplaying as My Hero Academia characters, as rapper and songwriter Megan Thee Stallion transformed herself into Rumi Usagiyama, also known as the Rabbit Hero Mirko for Halloween.

The My Hero Academia series follows Deku as he learns to be a professional hero. Originally born without a superpowered “Quirk,” Deku inherits the amazing abilities of his childhood hero All Might after displaying traits of heroism. As a student at U.A. High School, Deku is surrounded by other teenaged superheroes-in-training like him, notably the kind-hearted Ochako and Katsuki Bakugo, a former friend-turned-rival of Deku. Kohei Horikoshi, the author and illustrator of My Hero Academia, drew a special illustration of Deku in celebration of the Season 6 premiere. Additionally, the anime’s official Twitter account released a New Year-themed artwork of Mirko to celebrate 2023, which is the Year of the Rabbit, according to the Chinese Zodiac.

My Hero Academia is available to stream on Crunchyroll and Hulu. There are currently six seasons of the anime and three theatrical animated movies. Legendary Entertainment is producing a live-action movie adaptation of My Hero Academia for Netflix.
