Chainsaw Man Fan Does Power’s Iconic Dance in Energetic Cosplay

Chainsaw Man’s Power may have set her sights on becoming the Prime Minister, but she clearly has a talent for dancing.

Posted to TikTok by Princess Sachiko (@/sachi_hime96), the cosplayer recreates the iconic Chainsaw Man dance from the opening theme song. In the anime, Power and Denji are doing a little dance number with Aki watching off to the side, smoking a cigarette. Dressed in the Public Safety Devil Hunter’s uniform with the tie loosened, the cosplayer added unique flair to both their cosplay portrayal and the routine. For the former, they hooked a silver chain to a pair of loose-fitting black paints. After beginning with some viral TikTok dances, the cosplayer integrated Power and Denji’s dance, before concluding with a victorious ending pose. At this rate, Power could become the first dancing Nobel Prize-winning Prime Minister.

Boasting just over 16 million followers, Princess Sachiko has done a number of dance videos in cosplay. They’ve also uploaded a few more videos of them as Power, all of which have a wide smile on her face that accurately captures the wild energy the Blood Fiend has. Other than Power, the cosplayer has also portrayed Makima, Black Butler’s Grell, Tokyo Revenger’s Baji and Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba’s Mitsuki.

Yonezu’s Chainsaw Man Momentum

Sung by Yonezu, “KICK BACK” was released in October 2022, accompanying the debut of the anime adaptation. The music video serves as an homage to the mangaka’s love for cinema, referencing cult classics such as The Texas Chain Saw Massacre, Pulp Fiction, No Country for Old Men and The Big Lebowski. It is one of the most viewed anime openings at 66 million views, and it recently gained traction once again after Jungkook from the wildly popular K-Pop group BTS sang a cover of it during one of his lives on Weverse.

MAPPA produced the anime adaptation of Tatsuki Fujimoto’s best-selling manga series with Ryū Nakayama as the director with Hiroshi Seko as the scriptwriter and Kensuke Ushio as the composer. The adaptation received divided reactions from fans with some feeling that the cinematic approach and washed-out color palette did not evoke the grittiness of Fujimoto’s story. However, others felt the directorial choices added a different yet still enjoyable tone to the series. The series ended with 12 episodes on Dec. 28, 2022.

Chainsaw Man fans will have to wait until the second season to see if Power will achieve her lifelong dream. Until MAPPA has confirmed Season 2, fans can read the manga on Viz Media and Manga Plus.
