A talented cosplayer breathed life into SK8 the Infinity’s Adam, and the handsome longboarder is sure to love hug fans’ hearts.
The cosplayer, known as u/seanpaisen on Reddit and @/seanpaisen on Twitter, paid attention to even the most minor details on SK8 the Infinity’s Adam’s outfit, including his perfectly coiffed hair and the gold detailing on the mask. In addition, Adam’s shoulder pads featured eye-catching red hearts, and they even wore black gloves with cut-outs, just like the skilled skater. One commenter on Reddit showed their appreciation for all of seanpaisen’s efforts, saying, “SAW THIS ON TWITTER!! THE POSE! THE LOOK!! FUCKING ✨✨F A B U L O U S✨✨”
In addition to cosplaying Adam, seanpaisen also dressed up as Ainosuke Shindo, Adam’s calm and collected primary persona. Shindo, a well-liked politician with strong morals, is the complete opposite of Adam, who, as the Matador of Love, portrays himself as more flamboyant than his daily self. However, one thing remains true for both personas: his obsession with fellow skater Langa.
Seanpai Sen Excels at Cosplay
A passionate and skilled cosplayer, seanpaisen hasn’t limited themselves to SK8 the Infinity — they’ve also dressed up as Seto Kaiba from Yu-Gi-Oh! and Hisoka from Hunter x Hunter. Back in October, they made an appearance at the Pacific Media Expo as a cosplay guest of honor.
SK8 the Infinity’s Success Earned It a Second Season
SK8 the Infinity is an original TV anime produced and animated by Studio Bones, the same production company as My Hero Academia. The anime ran in Japan from January 2021 until April of the same year during ABC and TV Asahi’s ANiMAZiNG!!! programming block. In other countries, Aniplex of American licensed it from streaming outside Asia, while Muse Communication streamed it on Bilibili for Southeast Asia. The anime did well enough for a new project related to the series to receive the green light, and on August 14, 2022, the studio revealed the project to be a second season and an OVA.
The anime follows a group of hardcore skaters participating in “S,” a secret competition held after midnight. The competition takes place on a winding road carved out of an abandoned mine, with skateboarders forming rivalries against one another. The competitors typically skate under pseudonyms to protect their real identities, case in point, Ainosuke Shindo skating under the alias Adam.
Season 1 of SK8 the Infinity is available to stream through Funimation or Crunchyroll.
