JJK chapter 255 dropped earlier today and it wouldn’t be a shock to say that this week’s chapter was miles better than what fans got last time around. In JJK chapter 255, fans got quite a lot of exciting combat to witness, and every single reader of the manga absolutely enjoyed these developments to the fullest.
JJK continues the raid on Sukuna, and it is safe to say that this raid has now entered its final phase. With Yuji and Maki returning to join the battle, as well as Team Geto making their presence known, Sukuna finally looks like he’s on the ropes.
Team Geto Joins The Battle
Geto’s Squad From JJK0 Appears Again
JJK chapter 255 started with Team Geto arriving on the battlefield. Previously, fans had thought that it was going to be just Miguel who joined the battle. However, in this chapter, it was clear to see that Miguel was joined by Larue as well. Together, these two have now entered the fight against Sukuna officially. Fans also got to see how they entered the battle, as not many individuals knew what the thought process here was. Thankfully, fans finally got a flashback that showcased Miguel’s strategy moving forward in this arc.
Miguel Mentioned that he was only going to join the battle if Sukuna was on his last legs after fighting against Gojo and Yuta. When that happened, he would then join the battle, and try his best to get rid of the King of Curses. For starters, this strategy seems to be working flawlessly, and it is going to be interesting to see how Sukuna deals with the threat of Miguel and his team.
At the same time, fans also got quite a lot of focus on Miguel’s powers. In the flashback, Gojo mentioned that Miguel is a mighty powerful beast. Surprisingly, Gojo also made some racist remarks, which fans did not expect from him. Thankfully, at the very least, he did apologize to Miguel, and that was that. Still, according to Gojo, Miguel is a very powerful fighter who cannot be underestimated in battle, and whose strength is absolutely immense. Fans did get a display of that in the chapter as well, when he finally joined the battle and took on Sukuna.
Sukuna Vs Miguel and Larue
A High Level Battle Begins
Sukuna was faced by both Miguel and Larue in JJK chapter 255. These two teamed up on him, and they did incredibly well to hold them off. Larue used his hand technique to push Sukuna back, and it worked flawlessly in the chapter. Meanwhile, Miguel was showcasing his incredible agility In combat, and he managed to dodge a barrage of Dismantle flawlessly. As a result, Miguel was utterly dominant against Sukuna, managing to dodge his blows, and at the same time, deliver blows of his own to the King of curses. Fans were previously unaware of how strong Miguel truly is, however, this chapter gave them quite a picture of what he’s capable of.
At the same time, as the battle progressed, Larue was seen getting more involved in the fight as well, and it was quite surprising in many ways. The duo worked flawlessly against Sukuna, however, he still held out. This is something that the King of Curses deserves quite some praise for. Even though he is being completely outnumbered in battle, he’s doing more than just good against them. Once again, despite having his heart stabbed, Sukuna managed to pull through and completely held his own battle against his enemies.
Yuji And Maki Re-enter The Fight
The Much-Awaited Return Of The Next Gen Gems
JJK chapter 255 also gave fans a very interesting development when Yuji returned and joined the battle. This is something that a lot of the fans had predicted previously, however, they were not sure as to when it would happen. Thankfully, the author did not waste too much time keeping Yuji out, and in this week’s chapter, he was seen attacking Sukuna once again. Yuji leaped at him from above, and attacked him so hard that he was seen crashing down below. The idea here is to keep Sukuna from utilizing his ultimate techniques. As fans know, the World Splitting Dismantle is what everyone is wary of at this point in time. This Dismantle could have been used by Sukuna at all times.
However, in his battle against Gojo, this trump card was stolen from him simply because Gojo destroyed quite a significant portion of his body. Having lost one of his hands, he could not make the Enmaten sign, which he needed to cast this attack. So, he made a Binding Vow that allowed him to use it with just one hand, and forced him to forever use it in a single direction towards where his hand is facing. Whether or not this Binding Vow was a significant sacrifice or not is up for debate, however, what fans know for sure is that the sorcerers have already figured out how Sukuna makes this attack work, and they know how to get around it as well.
Just when Yuji entered the battle, so did Maki. Previously, Sukuna hit her with a powerful black flash. Maki was sent flying, and this was a deadly attack that many expected to knock her out of commission. Surprisingly, Maki is alive and well, and she returned to battle, slicing away Sukuna’s left hands with a single blow. Now, Sukuna is in a very precarious situation, and it’s going to be incredibly difficult for him to cope with the battle moving forward.
Sukuna’s Second Black Flash
Sukuna Takes The Upper Hand Again
While Sukuna certainly looked on the back foot through the vast majority of JJK 255, towards the end of it, fans saw him launch an incredibly powerful black flash on Larue. This is a significant development in this fight, as, now, it means that Sukuna’s reverse cursed technique might return to him. When Gojo hit a similar feat against Sukuna, his reverse cursed technique was turned to him. Now, Sukuna has managed to do the same, and, as a result, it is possible that his reverse curse technique might also return to him. It is also possible that Sukuna might get something else in return for hitting a second black flash.
For instance, Sukuna could potentially regain his domain expansion instead, and that too would make him very overpowered. Regardless of what ability he gains, fans can rest assured that in the next chapter, Sukuna will be on an entirely different level. The sorcerers might have the numbers now, but Sukuna has the power and he is surely going to unleash it all in JJK chapter 256.
Thankfully, JJK is not going to be on any break moving forward, and that is something that fans are very grateful for. This means that the battle against Sukuna will continue with full intensity next week, and, most likely, Sukuna will be obliterating quite a few members of the raid team. At the same time, fans also need to consider that the dropping numbers of the raid team would make this battle incredibly hard, with Larue already being knocked out of commission, and the likes of Choso and Miguel most likely following suit next week.
