One Piece entered the Final Saga with the Egghead arc. The series has been going on for decades, so it is a big milestone for the author. The Final Saga of the story will reveal the answer to every single mystery in One Piece.
It will also feature the characters that have been sidelined for the majority of the series, and there will also be some interesting comebacks. Given the large cast of characters in the manga, it is obvious that not every single individual will get an opportunity to shine. Some of them will meet their ends in an underwhelming fashion. In fact, fans have already seen certain characters flop in the Final Saga of One Piece.
5 Eustass Kid
Humbled By Shanks
Eustass Kid headed into the Final Saga with a great deal of confidence as he was coming off a victory against Big Mom, who was one of the Four Emperors of the Sea. After defeating her, Kid left Wano along with his crew and headed to Elbaf, as the pirates wanted to get closer to their dream of finding the One Piece. Unfortunately, their path was blocked by the Red Hair pirates.
Killer tried to warn his captain that going head-to-head against an Emperor wasn’t such a good idea. However, Kid had his heart set on going to Elbaf. Meanwhile, Shanks, who was on the island, used his Future Sight and saw that the Worst Generation Captain would cause a great deal of destruction if left unchecked. So Shanks charged toward Kid and took him out using Divine Departure.
Kid couldn’t do anything about it, and his copies of the Road Poneglyphs were taken by Shanks. It was truly a disappointing end to Kid’s journey. However, there is a chance that he might come back towards the end of the Final Saga, but for now, he is one of the biggest flops.
4 Trafalgar Law
Saved By Bepo
Trafalgar Law was the captain of the Heart Pirates. He was heavily involved in the story after that time-skip because he formed an alliance with the Straw Hat Pirates. Law’s biggest highlight came in the Wano Country arc, where he clashed with Big Mom. It was obvious that Law could not take down the Emperor on his own, so he needed help from his fellow Supernova, Eustass Kid.
Together, they managed to beat Big Mom and end her reign as one of the Four Emperors of the Sea. After leaving the country, Law was attacked by Blackbeard, who wanted to take his Road Poneglyphs. He put up a decent fight against Blackbeard, but the latter’s strength proved to be too much. Eventually, he was beaten and would have been killed if Bepo had not intervened. His current whereabouts remain unknown, but they will be revealed in due course.
3 Rob Lucci
Another Loss To Luffy
Rob Lucci was one of the main villains in the Egghead arc. He was accompanied to the island by Stussy and Kaku; all three were on the mission to kill Dr. Vegapunk. Lucci wasn’t expecting company, so he was surprised when he saw Luffy on the island. It didn’t take long for him to gather himself and attack the pirate.
Ever since his loss to Luffy, Lucci has held a very strong grudge against him. The CP0 agent used all the powers in his arsenal to try to defeat Luffy. However, he was unsuccessful and was captured. The fact that he appeared as a villain after such a long time and didn’t even put up an impressive showing makes Lucci a flop.
2 Monkey D. Garp
Lost To The Blackbeard Pirates
Monkey D. Garp was known as the “Hero of the Marines.” Throughout his career, Garp has achieved a lot of incredible feats. He was involved in the God Valley incident where he fought alongside Gol D. Roger to defeat the Rocks pirates. In the Final Saga, Garp traveled to Hachinosu, the island of the Blackbeard Pirates, to rescue his protégé Koby. He wasn’t alone, and he was accompanied by several young Marines.
Moments after his arrival, Garp showed off his incredible strength. He would have easily defeated most of the pirates if it weren’t for Kuzan. The former Admiral put up a great fight, and he was helped by his new allies. Eventually, it proved to be rather difficult for Garp to rescue Koby and leave the island. So he sacrificed himself for the sake of the newer generation. While it might be harsh to call him a flop, this was Garp’s first major fight, and it ended in a defeat, making him one of the biggest letdowns of the Final Saga.
1 Kaku
Couldn’t Help His Allies
Kaku was a part of the group that went to Egghead Island to carry out Vegapunk’s execution. They had received orders from the top brass to eliminate the scientist. Like his allies, Kaku had no idea that the Straw Hats were docked on the island. Shortly after learning about their presence, Kaku attacked Roronoa Zoro.
The two engaged in a short but stern exchange. Kaku used his Devil Fruit awakening, but Zoro was hardly troubled by it. The fight ultimately ended when Stussy used her power to knock out Kaku. Following his capture, Kaku was more or less useless. After being freed, he was immediately trapped by Sanji.
