Due to the numerous chapters that make up Koyoharu Gotouge’s Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba manga series, the Arcs of the series are bound to have many chapters that will require the readers to invest their time into; a lot of their time. Although the series total chapters number in the hundreds, fans still appreciate the depth of the story and the action that is depicted in the manga.

Some of these arcs have chapters that number in the thirties and beyond, while others only reach a single digits, making them quite short in comparison. Still,w hen looking for the longest arcs in Demon Slayer, look no further than these stories below.


7 Hashira Training Arc

The Important Training Before The End

Before the manga picks up its final arcs with the Infinity Castle Arc and Sunrise Countdown Arc, the Hashira Training Arc preludes those arcs and denotes the growth of the protagonists before they face Muzan and his demons in a final confrontation. This arc also highlights the potential of the young protagonists, especially Tanjiro’s.

The Hashira Training Arc has a relatively low chapter total at just 9, but that’s still more than some other arcs that only contain a few chapters, such as the Kidnapper’s Borg Arc.

6 Mugen Train Arc

A rather uneventful train ride was supposed to be undertaken by Tanjiro, Zenitsu, and Inosuke. However, once they meet the Flame Hashira, Kyojuro Rengoku, the journey takes a very chaotic turn, as a member of Twelve Kizuki, Enmu, arrives to disturb the peace. The repercussions of this journey are so severe that a Hashira falls in battle, weakening the ranks of the Demon Slayers.

The Mugen Train Arc has a sizeable number of chapters at 13, which allows the pacing of the story to be quite intricate while also delivering high-impact action scenes throughout the train trip from hell.

5 Mount Natagumo Arc

The Introduction Of The Trio

The iconic trio of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba did not get introduced right at the start of the series. Rather, the characters are introduced one by one, starting with Tanjiro’s debut at the start of the series, with Zenitsu and Inosuke joining him in the manga chapters leading up to the Mount Natagumo Arc. This Arc introduces the rest of the trio, culminating in an epic fight that also introduces the Insect Hashira, Shinobu Kocho.

With 17 chapters in total covering the Arc, several backstories are explored to give context and insight to both the protagonists and the antagonists, although the antagonists only appear for this Arc only to experience an early demise.

4 Sunrise Countdown Arc

Defeating Muzan Kibutsuji, the main antagonist of the series, ultimately takes all the Demon Slayers combining their strength, as he has proven to be very resilient during the course of the series. The Sunrise Countdown Arc showcases the epic struggle between good and evil as sacrifices are made by both sides to achieve their goals.

With the chapters in this Arc numbering at 22, the Sunrise Countdown Arc provides a satisfying conclusion to the series, while also providing an insight into the future of the protagonists after they prevail against the ultimate evil of the series.

3 Swordsmith Village Arc

A Repair Errand Turns Into A Life Or Death Battle

After damaging his sword, Tanjiro is sent to the Swordsmith Village to craft a new one for himself, although he receives a scolding from the blacksmith in the process due to his carelessness with his sword. However, the seemingly-innocent errand turns into a life or death battle, as two Upper-Rank demons of the Twelze Kizuki infiltrate the village.

With the 30 chapters that the Swordsmith Village Arc covers, this storyline engages the reader enough to keep them glued to the series while also providing both top-notch action and exciting storylines.

2 Entertainment District Arc

An Infiltration Arc With Heavy Stakes

The Entertainment District Arc of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba provides a mystery plot, as the protagonists try to find the missing demon and Tengen Uzui’s wives, who infiltrate the district. The Arc culminates in an epic battle that almost costs the Sound Hashira’s his life, and showcases Tanjiro’s fighting prowess even when he is still quite new as a Demon Slayer.


The arc is covered in 31 chapters in the manga, making it one of the longest arcs in the series, spending lots of time digging in to its mystery and characters before culminating in a big reveal.

1 Infinity Castle Arc

The Assault On Muzan’s Stronghold

As Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba comes into its final storyline, the Infinity Castle Arc becomes the first half of the Final Battle Arc that finishes the series. The battle is brought into Muzan’s stronghold as he manages to trap the Demon Slayers in his lair. All this after Muzan was after seemingly caught in a trap by the Demon Slayer’s leader, Kagaya Ubuyashiki.



With many battles happening at once, all parallel to each other, the Infinity Castle Arc contains the most chapters out of all arcs in the series, coming in at 47 total chapters.
