My Hero Academia is edging closer to its end with each passing chapter, and it appears that the next chapter, My Hero Academia chapter 422, might just be the one to deal a decisive blow to All For One and end the Final War Saga for good.

My Hero Academia has been a rollercoaster ride for the fans as of late, and it is most definitely going to continue being entertaining in the upcoming chapters as well, followed by the aftermath of the war that is to come. For now, all eyes are on My Hero Academia chapter 422, and for all the right reasons.

The Heroes Vs All For One

The Heroes Will Continue To Pull Through Against All For One

My Hero Academia chapter 422 will most definitely feature a battle between the Heroes and All For One. In the previous after, fans got to see the Heroes emerging from Warpgate to join the battle alongside Deku. All For One is incredibly powerful right now, and even though he does not have access to the power of Decay, he still has access to an array of Quirks, thanks to All For One. He was seen making use of several constructs from his body in the previous chapter, and this was down to the fact that he has stolen many Quirks over the years. All For One is incredibly strong, and that was something that was pointed at in the previous chapter of the story as well. The Heroes clearly mentioned that just stopping one attack from All For One requires a combined effort, and while that is dangerous, as long as they have the numbers, they can stop his onslaught.

Imagine not taking a real stand here…Why even dream of being a hero then? What would the point be? – Mineta

This is likely going to continue in My Hero Academia chapter 422. Fans should fully expect All For One to launch powerful attacks at them, and the Heroes to retaliate in some way or form. In the previous chapter, fans also got to see the Todoroki duo attacking All For One from both sides, and it is likely that more Heroes will do something similar in the upcoming chapter. Bakugo, who was previously down, could also rejoin the battle and do his bit, even though he’s injured. This would make a lot of sense for Bakugo, given that he was the one who dealt the finishing blow to the other All For One, and now, he would want to get a piece of this All For One as well.

Regardless of what happens, the Heroes have a massive role to play in My Hero Academia chapter 422, and their job right now is to pave the way for Deku. Deku, who fans know has started running towards All For One, but cannot take him down without help. He needs the help of everyone around him, and it is only after they help out that he is going to be able to run all the way to All For One and do what he needs to do.

Deku Returns To Battle With Full Cowl

In My Hero Academia chapter 421, fans got to see Deku make a shocking admission towards the end. He admitted that he gave away the power of One For All forever. The Quirk doesn’t exist with him any longer, and at the same time, he also gave up the power of all the vestiges that were inside of him. Right now, Deku is quirkless.

I might not have had it for long, but it’s taken root in my quirkless self. – Deku

However, that doesn’t mean that Deku has no power inside of him. Just as was the case with All Might, Deku has embers of One For All inside of him. The One For All can burn bright inside of him for a while and he needs to make use of this power to defeat All For One for good. While this power might not be enough, Deku does have help from all the heroes around him, and with the combination of things, they can possibly get the job done.

The burden is mostly going to be on Deku, given that he’s the only one who can finish off All For One for good. Using the One For All, Deku will have to unlock every bit of power inside of him and push it into his fist, and then defeat the evil forever. This is going to be a very difficult task for him to accomplish, however, it’s one that he has to do.

Fans can expect the Heroes to pave the way for Deku to land a clean blow, and when that happens, Deku can possibly imitate All Might from Kamino and pull off the United States of Smash directly to All For One’s face, and this time, defeating him for good. When that happens, the sparks of One For All within him will likely vanish as well, and Deku will return to being the quirkless boy that he once was.

The Aftermath Finishing Blow

The Dust Will Finally Settle On The Battlefield

My Hero Academia chapter 422 could very well tackle the aftermath of the finishing blow as well. While this is unlikely, it is something that the author needs to open up a pathway to, and the groundwork for that pathway needs to be set in MHA 422. Deku has lost his Quirk already, however, this does cause quite a lot of confusion, given that at the beginning of the story, fans were told that My Hero Academia is essentially Deku’s story of how he became the greatest Hero of all time. At the end of the series, Deku has to be a Hero and the greatest one at that. If Deku is quirkless, he cannot possibly be able to pull that off. It is interesting to see whether Deku will, in some way or form, get his Quirk back later down the line, or, he will have to stay quirkless for the entire time and then compensate in other ways.

We all fight at your side. You can do it! – Class 1-A

Regardless of what path the story takes, My Hero Academia is sure to bring a lot of excitement to the fans and it will be extremely interesting to see how Deku tackles the issue of not having the One For All. This has been quite a journey for him and the fans alike, and one that they will never forget. My Hero Academia has truly been heart-touching, especially in the Final War Saga, which is, by far, one of the very best arcs in the entire series and it would be unfair to say that Horikoshi has not delivered over the course of the last few months.

Unfortunately, fans will not get to see the conclusion of the fight anytime soon and that is because My Hero Academia is going to be on break due to Golden Week. That said, the story is set to return the week after, and that is when fans will likely get to see the conclusion of this incredible fight.

My Hero Academia is available to read via Viz Media. The series can be read by the fans officially and for free on the Shonen Jump and the Manga Plus app. The release date for the next chapter of My Hero Academia, My Hero Academia chapter 422, is set to be May 12, 2024.
