Considering The Acolyte takes place before The Phantom Menace, there are plenty of iconic Star Wars characters that audiences might be surprised to learn were alive during this time.
Many Jedi were at the height of their power during The Acolyte, whereas some were merely students. With the knowledge of the existence of these Star Wars characters, fans might be able to see a few familiar faces during their watch of The Acolyte on Disney+.
7 Ki-Adi-Mundi
A Jedi Master That Leads With Logic Over Assumption
- Introduced in: Star Wars: Episode 1 – The Phantom Menace
Ki-Adi-Mundi makes a surprising appearance in The Acolyte. This character is still a Jedi Master, whilst in the Legends timeline, the character had yet to be born. Nonetheless, Ki-Adi-Mundi’s appearance raises questions about his allegiance and shows a conspiracy to cover up Jedi murders which could have prevented the Sith from emerging.
Ki-Adi-Mundi was a beloved Jedi Master who was rarely seen with emotion and humor and enjoyed logic and reason. Part of this most likely comes from the fact he is a Cerean, a species that has a binary brain, permitting great strategy and thought.
6 Oppo Rancisis
One of the Oldest Jedi Masters Who Leads With Silent Wisdom
- Introduced in: Star Wars: Episode 1 – The Phantom Menace
A Jedi Master and member of the Jedi Council, Oppo Rancisis was one who many could respect due to his wisdom and devotion to the Jedi Order and the Force itself. Oppo Rancisis is a leading voice in the Jedi Council, and his place during the High Republic cannot be understated, as it showed great importance when establishing Jedi temples and halting conflict.
Oppo Rancisis has an astounding knowledge and respect for the Force, and would much prefer to use it over a lightsaber. Yet, that doesn’t make Rancisis weak, and his highly contemplative nature and wisdom would make him a keen leader in and out of battle.
5 Santari Khri
A Scientific Genius Jedi Who Aided the Discovery of Tanalorr
- Introduced in: Star Wars Jedi: Survivor
Santari Khri was an ambitious Jedi who spent her devotion to the Order creating meditation chambers and leading a science division for the Jedi and the Republic. Santari Khri was introduced in flashbacks throughout Star WarsJedi: Survivor and was a loyal friend to another Jedi, Dagan Gera. Santari Khri would be an interesting cameo for The Acolyte, considering her place in the Star Wars universe.
Santari Khri’s research led her to a wonderful secret planet, Tanalorr. If audiences got to see Santari, they might see the grief and guilt within her over the fate of her friend Dagan Gera, and the loss of what could have been a new Jedi homeworld. Nevertheless, Santari is astute and respectable, and perfectly fitting for the Jedi Order.
4 Plo Koon
A Compassionate Jedi Master and a Cunning Pilot
- Introduced in: Star Wars: Episode 1 – The Phantom Menace
One of the most famous Jedi Masters, Plo Koon was around during the years of the High Republic. By the time of the High Republic’s last years, Plo Koon would have been a Padawan or a Jedi Knight, training to become a Jedi Master who holds a strong place on the Jedi High Council. Plo Koon might be sympathetic to the murdering of Jedi, considering his calm and wise demeanor.
Plo Koon is a passionate Jedi and one who has a strong place in the lore thanks to his relationship with Ahsoka Tano, Anakin Skywalker’s Padawan. If Plo Koon was around during The Acolyte, then it’s likely he was off doing his own mission. After all, he’s a pretty great pilot.
3 Master Yaddle
An Incredible Jedi Teacher Who Deserves Respect
- Introduced in: Star Wars: Episode 1 – The Phantom Menace
The same species of Yoda and Grogu, Yaddle furthers the mysteries of this small green race. Yaddle was centuries old, and as such, it allowed her to navigate through training and wisdom to become a great Jedi Master, one who was in charge of tutoring Jedi Initiates during the time of the High Republic. Some members of the Jedi High Council even served as Yaddle’s students for a time.
Despite being somewhat quiet, Yaddle portrays great wisdom and kindness. It would be great to see Yaddle in live-action again, especially if there was a focus on Yaddle’s teaching of Jedi Initiates, as she often encouraged Padawans to follow the Force rather than optimism.
2 Tera Sinube
A Jedi Marshal, Knowledgeable of the Criminal Underworld
- Introduced in: Star Wars: The Clone Wars “Grievous Intrigue” (Season 2, Episode 9)
One of the oldest members of the Jedi, Tera Sinube developed a strong friendship with a young learner, Ahsoka Tano. Tera Sinube has an interesting history as a Jedi, as he is extremely knowledgeable of the criminal underworld on Coruscant. Considering the famed Jedi Temple is on Coruscant, it’s a wonder how someone like Tera Sinube would no so much about its underworld.
Outside of being a brilliant investigator, Tera Sinube was a cunning warrior, whose age should never underestimate his skill. During the High Republic, Tera Sinube was involved in a Jedi outpost, where he acted as the marshal on Derra, which is perhaps why he hasn’t been seen in The Acolyte.
1 Yoda
Grandmaster of the Jedi for Centuries
- Introduced in: Star Wars: Episode 5 – The Empire Strikes Back
It’s impossible to talk about the Jedi without bringing up Yoda, the Jedi Grandmaster of the Jedi who led through prosperity and saw it all fall before him. Yoda is everything a Jedi should be. He’s wise, strong in the Force, and compassionate. Yoda is living proof that size matters not, for he reached the greatest title a Jedi could in his 900 years of life.
Yoda served in the Jedi Order for centuries, being perhaps its wisest and oldest member. Throughout these centuries, Yoda would aid the Jedi in halting many conflicts that would pop up throughout the galaxy, and as such an important member of the High Republic, it adds to curiosity as to where Yoda could be during The Acolyte.
