The community’s favorite anime of the year has been recognized by Anime Corner for the past two years, and this year they expanded their annual polls from one to 19 categories. Last week saw the conclusion of the voting for the top 2022 titles, and we are now prepared to announce the results. The Third Anime Corner Awards winners have been determined using information gathered from over 100,000 fans!
Please note that the rankings below should not be used as motivation to avoid watching anime series that aren’t ranked highly. Everyone’s tastes in anime are unique, and each show has its own style.

This category received 82,306 votes, and the results are not surprising, but they are intriguing. Attack on Titan has surpassed Bleach to take the top spot. Because the top four series are all sequels, Cyberpunk: Edgerunners is the best new anime of the year 2022.

It was a difficult one for both, and the difference is less than 4%. We’d also like to give Akiba Maid War an honorable mention. The series premiered in the fall of 2022, and from the first episode captivated it managed to captivate the audience with its unique take on yakuza movies.

The second season of Classroom of the Elite won the most votes in this category (22,828), followed by Summer Time Rendering and Tomodachi Game. All of them kept us on the edge of our seats, and waiting a week between episodes was challenging, especially in the case of Summer Time Rendering.

With 48,206 votes cast in this category, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – Entertainment District Arc and BOCCHI THE ROCK! came in first and second place, respectively.
Given how different the genres are, it is amazing that there is a difference of less than 0.15% in votes between the top two spots. All of the nominees offered a distinctive animation style, which undoubtedly improved the viewing experience.

Best Adaptation of the Year 2022
This category received 52,718 votes, with Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War coming in first and Attack on Titan The Final Season: Part II coming in second. The difference between the top two positions in the Best Animation category is very small (0.27%), and it was a close call. Nonetheless, Bleach fans had been waiting for a sequel for so long and were rewarded by the quality of the adaptation.
