The What If…? season 3 episode list allegedly leaked, hinting at what’s coming for the hypothetical-filled Marvel Studios animated show. This rumor came shortly after What If…? season 2 aired on December 30.
What If…? premiered on Disney Plus in August 2021 as part of MCU’s Phase Four, presenting standalone stories with new twists on characters and events fans already love. The only connection woven through each episode is The Watcher (voiced by Jeffrey Wright), a narrator who acts like an extension of the viewer in the universe. Marvel Studios Head of Animation Brad Winderbaum has previously said The Watcher’s character will evolve with an important story arc, particularly teasing that season 3 will dive deeper into his humanity.
While there aren’t any synopses, the Twitter account for Marvel news, Update_Marvel, shared a screenshot of the supposed What If…? season 3 episode titles. They may not give much information, but they provide enough to start forming ideas. The rumored eight titles are as follows:

A sneak peek at What If…? season 3 has also been released, showing Captain America’s Winter Soldier and Black Widow’s Red Guardian in a car chase scene with cop Bill Foster (voiced by Laurence Fishburne). Considering the anthology explores the multiverse of realities and the timeline consequences of making a single choice, it’s curious to wonder where the two characters with stark personality differences will fit together, especially considering the rumored episode titles. While the nearly three-minute clip confirms Sebastian Stan and David Harbour’s return to the characters, it’s uncertain who else may join the cast.
While no What If…? season 3 release date has been set aside from an ominous “streaming soon,” some believe the season could be closer than people think considering the exclusive look, which many fans brushed past, thinking it was fake. A preview this soon after season two ended also comes as a surprise because of the long gap between season one’s finale and season two’s premiere.
