According to scooper Daniel Richtman, Marvel Studios is eyeing Colman Domingo to replace Majors as Kang the Conqueror. It is important to note that Marvel Studios has not yet confirmed this information, and at this time, it should still be regarded as a rumor. Still, fans are buzzing about the rumor that Domingo might step into the role, gaining quick attention. The actor gained popularity with his impeccable acting skills in Fear The Walking Dead. Since then, he has been seen in several roles in films and TV shows. Domingo also snagged a Primetime Emmy Award for his guest role on the popular HBO series Euphoria. Recently, he was seen playing the titular character in the Netflix film Rustin and is considered a frontrunner for the Best Actor nomination at the Academy Awards.
Of course, Marvel Studios could still decide to move away from Kang the Conqueror altogether. Some reports claim the character might be ditched, and Marvel Studios might bring in a different supervillain for the Avengers movies. But that would be challenging for Marvel Studios because many questions will be left unanswered, which might do damage.
With rumors of a new villain replacing Kang, who isn’t Doctor Doom, fans wonder what Marvel Studios will decide to do. With Domingo in the mix to continue the Kang storyline, Marvel Studios might be going in the right direction. Fans can only wait till the official confirmation comes in.
Avengers 5 is currently scheduled to be released on May 1, 2026.
