The Dire Wolves caused a lot of terror in the Great Jura Forest before Rimuru entered the picture, with the Goblins being the targets of the pack’s violence.
They begged Rimuru to help them stop their attacks, which he did by trapping their leader using his Sticky Steel Thread. He went on to eliminate their leader and assume his position, before integrating the pack into the Goblin Village. This new community served as the foundation for the Jura Tempest Foundation.
9 Diablo Vs. Razen

Razen’s attempt to flee the battlefield after his clash with Rimuru was put to a stop when he encountered Diablo and his subordinates. Despite just regenerating from an attack, Razen underestimated Diablo, thinking he could beat him with magic attacks, but they never seemed to connect.
Diablo never really had a display of strength. Taking on Razen, who had just taken over Shogo’s physically dominant body, to a hand-to-hand fight did not seem like a good idea, but Diablo won the fight easily in the end.
8 Milim Nava Vs. Carrion
Battle For Dominance

This battle was a very strange and important one, not because of how the battle went, but because of the consequences of the outcome. Milim Nava and Carrion were both Demon Lords before she challenged him to a battle to prove she was stronger than he was.
This battle was a great one, and met the expectations of a clash between two Demon Lords, with great displays of power. Carrion lost this duel and gave up his position as Demon Lord as a result, believing it would be much better for him to be at Milim’s side as an ally.
7 Orc Leader Geld And Shion Vs. Shogo
Thwarting Another Of The Knights’ Attempts

The incident where the Knights of Falmuth started their siege of the Jura Tempest Federation was marked by one of the best fights in the anime series. Shogo Taguchi, the Otherworlder blessed with incredible physical abilities, took on Shion, Rimuru’s First Secretary and most trusted ally.
Shion initially dictated the momentum of the fight. He might have beaten Shogo until the Western Holy Church used their barriers, famous for sapping the strength out of monsters. Geld, however, was there to take over the battle. He made sure to take revenge for Shion, and beat Shogo into a pulp.
6 Rimuru Vs Falmuth Army
The Bloodshed Needed To Become A True Demon Lord

The human nation of Falmuth attacked the Jura Tempest Federation out of the blue one day, wreaking havoc on the land and amassing a lot of casualties. This fight was one of convenience, because killing a lot of humans is one of the requirements for awakening into a True Demon Lord, which is required for Rimuru to resurrect the Jura Forest inhabitants they lost and protect the ones that remain.
Rimuru went on to obliterate the Falmuth Army, which kicked off his evolution into a True Demon Lord.
5 Rimuru Vs. Clayman

Rimuru’s showdown against Clayman was highly anticipated, and rightly so. Rimuru finally had the chance to go up against the Demon Lord responsible for the majority of the mishaps that befell the Jura Tempest Federation. He had always been a thorn in the side of Rimuru and his friends, and Rimuru decided to confront him at the Walpurgis Banquet.

The fate of the Jura Tempest Federation was plunged into uncertainty after the monstrosity that is Charybdis was resurrected by Phobio, who was tricked into housing the great beast inside him. This calamity-class monster attacked the Great Jura Forest in the company of megalodons — lots of them.
Rimuru had to enlist his allies to contribute to the fight against the megalodons. The Charybdis proved to be a tough opponent, but with the help of Milim Nava, Rimuru was able to annihilate the Charybdis and absorb his body to grow stronger.
3 Rimuru Vs. Ifrit
Battling An Out Of Control Spirit
- Season 1, Episode 7
Ifrit is the spirit of the Flame Giant who was used to stabilize Shizu, whose body was destabilized after suffering from a bomb attack before her summoning. The True Demon Lord Leon Cromwell, who summoned her, fused them to stop her body from disintegrating. Shizu lost control of Ifrit in an encounter with Rimuru and ended up losing her body to him.
Ifrit went on to summon Salamanders, but with the help of his friends, Rimuru was able to overpower and absorb Ifrit, who later became one of his allies down the line.
2 Rimuru Vs. Orc Disaster Geld
Taming A Demon Lord

Geld was made by the Majin Gelmud to become a puppet Demon Lord. After eating his master, it accelerated his evolution from Orc Lord to Orc Disaster. Geld and his army of Orcs began to cause chaos in the land, so Rimuru challenged Geld to a one-on-one battle to determine their fate.
Rimuru seemed unable to damage Geld, despite analyzing him and devising strategies to win the fight. As always, Rimuru’s Gluttony ability comes in clutch, as he ends up absorbing Geld and winning the fight.
1 Rimuru Vs. Hinata Sakaguchi
A Clash Of Ideals
- Season 2, Episode 6
The fact that this fight was more of a clash between ideals made this battle a lot more relevant. Hinata is also an Otherworlder like Rimuru, but their different circumstances have shaped them in different ways.
Hinata became the leader of the Ten Great Saints in the Western Holy Church and was on the hunt for Rimuru, whom she believed had a hand in the death of her master, Shizu. Rimuru was pushed to his limits in this battle and narrowly survived because Hinata fell for one of his tricks.
