A lot of these characters have yet to be properly involved in an arc, which is why fans still don’t know too much about them. Some of them are among the recurring cast, and yet Oda has kept their past and future under wraps. Shanks is the captain of the Red Hair Pirates and one of the Yonko. Presently, he is the strongest character in the series. Shanks has no Devil Fruit, but his Haki makes up for it. He possesses all three types of Haki, plus he has access to the advanced variants of all three types, making him part of an exclusive list.

Shanks’ past is still a mystery to fans. His parentage remains unknown, and so does his current goal. He is the only pirate who is on good terms with the World Government, which includes the Five Elders. At the same time, he wants to claim the One Piece, something that the World Government wouldn’t want. There is no doubt that fans are dying to learn more about the mysterious Red Hair Pirate.

Monkey D. Dragon is the leader of the Revolutionary Army. At one point, he was a Marine, but he left the organization to start the Freedom Fighters. It hasn’t been disclosed what prompted Dragon to leave the Marines, but it is possible that it was linked to their inability to help people who were desperate.

Dragon’s married life is yet another mystery in One Piece. Fans don’t know who he married or why they are not together. With things heating up in the manga, Oda will definitely provide the audience with some answers about the most wanted man in the world.

5 Imu

No Information About Their Abilities

Imu is the sovereign of the world. They sit atop the Empty Throne and rule the world however they see fit. Imu supplants even the Five Elders in terms of authority, so whatever they say goes. Most of Imu’s past remains unknown, but according to Ivankov, they belong to the Nerona Family.

There is speculation that Imu underwent the Immortality Operation, which means that there is a possibility that they have been alive since the Void Century. They also have some kind of Devil Fruit, but its true power has not been explained. Oda might be saving Imu for the very end, so their storyline will take some time to finish.

4 Rocks D. Xebec

Not Explained Why He Attacked God Valley

Rocks D. Xebec used to be the captain of the Rocks Pirates, who were the most dangerous crew of their time. He was a ruthless and cold-hearted man who did not care about his crew members at all. Rocks was solely concerned with obtaining power, no matter the method.

Oda has yet to disclose how Rocks became so obsessed with power. Furthermore, there is no information about what kind of abilities the pirate had. There is also no information regarding his reason for going to God Valley and attacking the Celestial Dragons. For now, fans will have to wait for a while to learn all about the legendary pirate.

Blackbeard has been teed up to be Luffy’s final opponent in One Piece. The Yonko has managed to become one of the most fearsome pirates in the world in next to no time, and it is mainly because of his two powerful Devil Fruits. He is a shrewd individual who plans everything in advance. Blackbeard rarely makes a decision based on impulse, which is why he has been so successful.

Blackbeard’s storyline is still unfinished, but that’s hardly surprising, as he is among the final villains. The upcoming arcs will definitely delve into Blackbeard’s motives and his special lineage.

2 Crocodile

Has A Big Secret That He Is Hiding

Crocodile is a former Shichibukai who was removed from his position after Luffy defeated him in Alabasta. He was put in Impel Down, where he remained until Luffy broke him out. Crocodile participated in the Paramount War, after which he stayed away from the spotlight. When the Shichibukai system was abolished, he approached Mihawk and started the Cross Guild.

A lot of things about Crocodile remain a mystery to this day. For starters, the big secret that Ivankov knows about him still hasn’t been revealed. Crocodile’s reason for becoming a pirate has not been made public either.

1 Nefertari Lily

Unexplained Reason Behind Her Betrayal

Nefertari Lily ruled the arid region of Alabasta many centuries prior to the current timeline. She was one of the twenty rulers who decided to band together to take down the Ancient Kingdom. After initially supporting the cause, Lily seems to have changed her mind. It is possible that she found out about the real intentions of Imu and the rulers, which is why she released the Ponegylphs into the world.

Such a dangerous move would never have gone unfinished, which is why many fans believe that Nefertari Lily was murdered. But it is all speculation at the moment. Oda is definitely going to expand on Lily’s past and what made her betray the World Government. Fans can expect her storyline to be complete in the Final Saga of One Piece.
