Jujutsu Kaisen: English Voice Actors You Might’ve Heard Before

Highlights

  • English voice actors for anime dubbing often have experience in American cartoons and video game dubbing.
  • The Jujutsu Kaisen English cast includes both well-known names and rising stars, with a range of iconic roles in other anime and games.
  • The voice actors for the main characters in Jujutsu Kaisen have voiced various other popular characters, showcasing their range and talent.

English voice actors for anime dubbing often run in the same circles. Some actors have been in the biz since the late 90s, whereas some up-and-comers are relatively new to the anime dubbing sphere, having come from working on American cartoons first. Some anime voice actors also work on video game dubbing or reprise their roles for movie releases.

The Jujutsu Kaisen English cast is star-studded with well-known names and rising stars alike. For those wondering where they’ve heard someone’s voice before and frantically checking online, there are a few possible options for where the cast have been spotted before for anime and gaming fans alike.

10 Itadori Yuji

Adam McArthur

Adam McArthur’s reel is tiny but mighty when it comes to well-known roles. Fans of the Disney XD cartoon Star vs The Forces of Evil will recognize McArthur as Marco Diaz, partner in crime to the eponymous Star Butterfly.

He also played Chifuyu Matsuno in the anime Tokyo Revengers — quite a contrast compared to Itadori.

9 Fushiguro Megumi

Robbie Daymond

Robbie Daymond plays Fushiguro Megumi, and eagle-eyed anime fans of all ages will probably recognize his iconic voice. From Tuxedo Mask in Sailor Moon to Chrollo Lucilfer in Hunter x Hunter, Daymond has been in a myriad of different roles.

He also played Kenshiro in Fist of the North Star, Goro Akechi in the Persona series — and everyone’s favorite bicycle-themed hero, Mumen Rider of One Punch Man fame.

8 Kugisaki Nobara

Anne Yatco

Anne Yatco is the voice behind the quick-witted hammer-wielder Kugisaki Nobara. While her roles in anime have been rather small, Genshin Impact fans will recognize her as the Raiden Shogun, the archon Electro presiding over Inazuma.

For those more into cartoons, she also plays Sabine Cheng, Marinette Dupain-Cheng’s mother in Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug and Cat Noir.

7 Gojo Satoru

Kaiji Tang

The strongest sorcerer has himself a strong voice actor too — Kaiji Tang, who Dragon Ball Super fans may recognize as the voice of Vegeta.

He also played Guts in the 2016 remake of Beserk, Archer in Fate/Stay Night, Osamu Dazai in Bungou Stray Dogs, and Shinazugawa Sanemi from Demon Slayer. He’s got a good track record of strong characters!

6 Geto Suguru

Lex Lang

Lex Lang plays Geto Suguru, Gojo Satoru’s best friend and foil throughout the series. It’s not the first time that Kaiji Tang and Lex Lang have played opposing roles; Lang was the voice of Goku in Dragon Ball Super, opposite Tang’s Vegeta.

Lang is also the English voice for Goemon Ishikawa XIII in several of the modern Lupin III anime and movies, and he played Dr. Neo Cortex in several entries in the Crash Bandicoot games. He has the range, it seems.

5 Ryomen Sukuna And Choso

Ray Chase

Anime fans old and young will recognize Ray Chase from his vast array of roles over the years. In Jujutsu Kaisen, he plays Sukuna, the demon king whose fingers poor Itadori needs to swallow, alongside supporting character Choso.

Chase’s roles include mafioso boss Bruno Buccarati from Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind, red-headed fighter Roy from Fire Emblem, the flamboyant Uzui Tengen from Demon Slayer, brooding protagonist Noctis from Final Fantasy XV, and Iudex Neuvillette from Genshin Impact. For those that still don’t recognize him, perhaps “The judgment of the Oratrice Mechanique D’Analyse Cardinale” will jog their memory.

4 Yaga Masamichi

Keith Silverstein

Keith Silverstein’s dulcet tones are immediately recognizable across all media. He plays headmaster Masamichi in Jujutsu Kaisen, but many anime fans will recognize him for a different, slightly less straight-laced role: clown-themed killer Hisoka from Hunter x Hunter.

Silverstein also played Zhongli in Genshin Impact, Robert E.O. Speedwagon in Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure: Phantom Blood, Hawk Moth in Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug and Cat Noir, and had a rather hilarious role as the narrator in WarioWare: Move It.

3 Special Grade Curse Mahito

Lucien Dodge

Everyone’s favorite curse, Mahito. His voice actor, Lucien Dodge, is no stranger to playing antagonistic demons and characters that people love to hate.

Dodge has also voiced Upper Rank 3 demon Akaza in Demon Slayer, Keisuke Baji in Tokyo Revengers, and Hifumi Yamada in the murder-mystery game Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc.

2 Maki Zenin And Kasumi Miwa

Allegra Clark

Allegra Clark has a talent for playing strong women — one of her first voice acting roles was Josephine Montiliyet in BioWare’s Dragon Age: Inquisition. Maki Zenin and Kasumi Miwa are two more great characters to add to her roster.

Gamers will also recognize Clark as Dorothea in Fire Emblem: Three Houses and Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes, as well as pirate captain Beidou from Genshin Impact.

1 Kento Nanami

David Vincent

David Vincent plays Kento Nanami, a tired businessman turned jujutsu sorcerer.

Vincent has played several well-known characters during his career, but his two most recognizable roles would be as Grimmjow JaegerJaques in Bleach, and Richter Belmont in 1997’s Castlevania: Symphony of The Night. He reprised his role as Richter Belmont in Super Smash Bros Ultimate, so players might recognize Vincent’s voice from there, too.
