The Fantastic Four, the beloved superhero team, is making a grand return to the franchise with a Marvel reboot. Fresh rumors hint at something major in the pipeline.

While details about the reboot remain scarce, expectations are high for Marvel’s take on The Fantastic Four. A recent scoop suggests that Marvel has a big surprise in store for its fans. What exactly will unfold in the upcoming reboot?

Interesting news is emerging about Marvel’s reboot of The Fantastic Four. Industry insider Daniel Richtman shared some exciting new details today, revealing that the upcoming movie will feature multiple villains from across the Marvel Universe. These villains will have small roles and appear in the film’s first act. While this sounds intriguing, it is still too early to confirm this as the truth, given the limited information available about the movie’s plot.

While it is known that the superhero team will face Galactus and a new version of Silver Surfer, details about other villain roles remain sparse. According to the scoop, several villains will appear in the first act, suggesting that the heroes will initially protect Earth from various threats before venturing into outer space. Specific villains have not been confirmed, but there is speculation that Marvel plans to highlight lesser-known Fantastic Four villains, previously overshadowed by Doctor Doom, which might explain recent casting announcements. Ralph Ineson, cast as Galactus, mentioned in a recent interview that the script for The Fantastic Four reboot is “cool and intriguing.” Potential villains the team might face, all of whom have appeared in the comics, include Doctor Doom, a brilliant scientist and sorcerer; Kang the Conqueror, a time-traveling warlord; Super-Skrull, who possesses the combined powers of the Fantastic Four; Mole Man, ruler of the subterranean realm; the shape-shifting Skrulls; Annihilus, ruler of the Negative Zone; Namor the Sub-Mariner, prince of Atlantis; Puppet Master, who controls people with radioactive clay; and the Frightful Four, a team of supervillains. We will have to wait and see which of these villains will make it to the big screen.

The reboot will be directed by Matt Shakman and produced by Kevin Feige, Grant Curtis, and Nick Pepin, with a script written by Jeff Kaplan and Ian Springer. The film stars Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards/Mr. Fantastic, Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm/Invisible Woman, Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm/Human Torch, Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Ben Grimm/The Thing, and Ralph Ineson as Galactus. Julia Garner is set to portray a female Silver Surfer, with Paul Walter Hauser and John Malkovich in currently undisclosed roles. Additionally, characters yet to be cast include Mole Man and H.E.R.B.I.E., as well as the numerous villains rumored to appear. The plot has not been fully confirmed, but some rumored details suggest it will be set in the year 1963 on Earth, where the once-perfect world is slowly dying due to attacks across the multiverse. Reed has been trying to rescue his world without success and explains their dire situation to his family, leading him to study time travel and create a time machine. Sue, feeling Reed is not doing enough to save their world, faces a pivotal moment when Galactus enters the scene. The Fantastic Four confront Galactus for the first time before escaping their world and time-traveling to Earth-616, where the majority of Marvel’s current events take place.

The Fantastic Four is scheduled to be released on July 25, 2025.
