Boruto: Two Blue Vortex chapter 5 is just around the corner and fans are incredibly excited to see the story continue this month. The manga has only just begun and it has already started producing some incredibly intense chapters. That said, these chapters have also been divisive. While some fans have absolutely loved the intense start to the manga, others have pointed out the concerning things, such as Sasuke Uchiha being cut out of the story.
Fans know that Boruto Uzumaki is trying to save Sasuke at the moment, however, that seems to be an impossibly difficult task as things stand. Yet, Boruto isn’t giving up hope. Carrying Sasuke’s sword, he is willing to go to any lengths to make sure that he is freed. Curiously, fans have been wondering about how Boruto got Sasuke’s sword to begin with, and now, the story has finally provided fans with the answer.
Boruto And Sasuke’s Training
In Boruto: Two Blue Vortex chapter 5, fans got a glimpse of Boruto and Sasuke’s training together. This is something that was predicted by Game Rant earlier and it certainly did end up coming true. After revealing that Sasuke was trapped in a tree, this was the perfect time for the series to delve into the flashback related to these two characters. Fans got to see Boruto Uzumaki and Sasuke Uchiha sit by a fire and have a nice conversation together. Boruto Uzumaki was seen laughing and enjoying his time with Sasuke. By this time, Boruto seems to have grown quite a bit, so this flashback certainly can not be anytime close to when he left the village. It is likely that, by this point, Boruto had already been training for quite a while.
This is also evident from the fact that Boruto asks Sasuke what he thinks of his mastery of the new skills. At the same time, fans can also notice Boruto Uzumaki wearing the clothes of Sasuke Uchiha. Previously, fans wondered if Boruto had simply taken over Sasuke’s attire. That doesn’t appear to be the case. It seems that Sasuke has given him his clothes to signify the fact that he is indeed his very own apprentice. At the same time, fans also get to see Boruto Uzumaki wield a sword. Sasuke is a very skilled swordsman and, as such, he decided to train Boruto in the ways of the sword as well. Boruto did not have much of an experience with a blade as a weapon and it was only thanks to Sasuke that he managed to learn this skill as well as he did.
Boruto Uzumaki Learns The Uchiha Style
According to Boruto: Two Blue Vortex chapter 5, Boruto Uzumaki has learned the Uchiha style from Sasuke. It appears that Sasuke had decided to train Boruto in everything that he knows and what he does now falls under the Uchiha Style. This must’ve been quite difficult for Boruto to master, given that he does not have the Sharingan and the biggest strength of the Uchiha is the Sharingan itself. However, there are other aspects of the Uchiha battle style, such as the usage of Lightning Release, Fire Release and, of course, shurikenjutsu. Fans know that Sasuke is tremendously skilled at shurikenjutsu and this aspect of power would certainly be very useful to Boruto as well. Furthermore, fans also know that Boruto Uzumaki already used a jutsu very similar to Chidori earlier and this is a technique that Sasuke could have passed down to him as well. His other forms of combat, such as Fire Release, would most definitely have been trained by Sasuke as well.
Most importantly, Boruto Uzumaki learned how to use the sword just like Sasuke. This is likely a part of the Uchiha style and, it is also likely that like Sasuke taught Boruto how to utilize his sword, Lightning Release, and potentially even fire. It is clear for the fans to see that Boruto has become an excellent swordsman and this was indicated when he came face to face against the Claw Grimes and, later on, Code in combat as well. Boruto has advanced his skills tremendously and much of that is down to the fact that he has trained in the famous Uchiha style.
Boruto Takes Sasuke’s Sword
In Boruto: TBV chapter 5, it is quite clear for the fans to see that both Boruto Uzumaki and Sasuke have their own swords when they are sitting next to a fire. However, upon closer inspection, it is clear that the swords they wield are different types of blades. Fans have already seen Sasuke carry his sword many times after the timeskip, called the Kusanagi Sword. In the case of Boruto, this isn’t true. His sword, as seen in the flashback, has a very different scabbard and a completely different hilt as well. The sword also seems to have some strings tied to the hilt. It appears that this is the store that Boruto used for his training with Sasuke, however, it certainly is not the blade that he’s wielding right now. The blade that he has right now is Sasuke’s very own and this implies that he took over Sasuke’s sword after he fell.
Finally, the fans have an answer to the question that has been haunting them for quite a while regarding Sasuke’s sword. It is highly likely that Sasuke Uchiha and Boruto fought together against Code and the Claw Grimes. At some point, Sasuke likely decided to save Boruto by sacrificing himself and got turned into a tree. This is probably when Boruto decided to take over Sasuke’s sword and use it in combat. It is highly likely that this is a way for the authors to show that Boruto Uzumaki is carrying Sasuke’s very own will and that he will continue to do so until Sasuke is free. Boruto wields it in the honor and the name of Sasuke and, it also indicates the fact that he is Sasuke’s very own apprentice and a very powerful ninja who has mastered the Uchiha style himself.
As for Sasuke, fans do not know what the writers have in store for him. For now, he seems to be cut out of the plot for the foreseeable future and it doesn’t seem likely that he will return anytime soon. It is up to Boruto Uzumaki to free him and, when that happens, fans will have to observe the events carefully to contemplate whether Sasuke will be important in the remainder of the story or not. Things certainly don’t look good for him at the moment, but that could change in the future, at least that is what fans hope will happen. Fans need to sit back tightly and hope that Boruto Uzumaki manages to deal with the new Shinju clones effectively in order to free Sasuke from his prison and save his life. In doing so, Boruto will get even stronger and, more importantly, fans will have their beloved Uchiha back.
Boruto is available to read via Viz Media. The series can be read by the fans officially and for free on the Shonen Jump and the Manga Plus app. The release date for the next chapter of Boruto, Boruto Part 2 chapter 5, is set to be December 20, 2023.
