As we could see in the previous chapter, our male lead tried to approach Chanhu and also attempted to stay closer to him, because he had this suspicious feeling that the very life of his friend could be at stake. However, it was all due to his other friend, Eunsae, having an obsessive and harmful stalker following her most of the time. Eunsae asked the male lead to help her regarding this situation, and unable to refuse her request, the male lead tried to stick with her to provide her some safety.
However, later, we came to know that Eunsae does all this pleading and requests to shield her from the stalker while putting other people’s lives in danger. Due to this very reason, a guy lost his or, more accurately, was murdered because he was too close to Eunsae. The male lead had suspicions about her for a long time, which is why he was trying to protect Chanhu from Eunsae, but no matter how he tried, Eunsae always found a way to stick with him.
Later, the tragedy took place as we witnessed the stalker push Chanhu on the road and ultimately get hit by a truck. Despite the male lead’s attempt to save him from the stalker, the stalker got to him first. Here, the male lead commented, that it was like his very first death, and soon he approached Eunsae and blamed her for the incident. But Eunsae insisted that she did not know it would cost someone’s life.
The male lead commented it might be the seventh time that the same event is taking place. Despite his attempts to approach various methods to change the outcome of the story, the same thing has been repeated over and over again. At the end of chapter 27, we see the male lead seeing Eunsae pushing her stalker away on the road.
