Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 264 is most certainly going to be one of the most exciting chapters In the manga as a whole, and that is down to the fact that the King of Curses, Ryomen Sukuna, is just about to be defeated, which is something that fans have wanted for quite a long time.

JJK chapter 264 is most certainly going to cover the fate of Sukuna after being hit by Jacob’s Ladder, and at the same time, the author will most certainly have thrown in one or two shocking twists and turns in the chapter that fans are anticipating at this point in time.

However, those hoping to find out what happens in JJK next week are going to be disappointed to know that the manga is going to be on a break and that they will have to wait longer for the chapter.

Jujutsu Kaisen’s Frequent Breaks

Jujutsu Kaisen Has Struggled With Breaks Lately

Jujutsu Kaisen has had multiple breaks this year. In fact, fans have seen the author of the series struggle keeping up in Jump, and that is down to the hectic schedule that they have to deal with. Jump authors usually only get a few hours of sleep and have to work around 16 hours a day every day, and this is clearly not easy to deal with. In fact, other authors who have worked in Jump, such as Kishimoto, the author of Naruto, and Oda, the author of One Piece, have previously stated that they only get 3 hours of sleep a day and they spent the vast majority of the remaining part of their day and night working. In fact, in the case of the author of One Piece, fans know that Od can’t even spend time with his family properly since he lives in his studio.

Due to health issues, Gege will take a break from Jump.

Such is the life of manga artists in Japan, and Gegs also suffered tremendously because of it. His health has taken a hit recently, and when comparing the number of chapters that fans have gotten this year to a few years ago, one can clearly see that there are more frequent breaks now.

At the same time, the art of the manga has also deteriorated, and this is also down to the fact that the author is not in as good health as he was once. But, Jujutsu Kaisen is ending very soon, and much of that could also be down to the fact that Gege isn’t in perfect health. In fact, the author recently confirmed the Shinjuku Showdown Arc to be the final one, which means that Sukuna will be dealt with here and the manga will end properly following his defeat.

As things stand, JJK is taking a break every two or three chapters, which is staggering. In fact, the manga recently went on a 4-week break, which was followed by just two chapters, and now the author is taking a break again. Before any of this frustrates the fans, they should take into consideration the issues that the author has to deal with and his health. Any content that fans get at this point is a blessing, and the author’s health should take priority. Hopefully, in time, things will start getting better and fans will get a run of chapters as well. Until then, they will have to deal with it.

Of course, fans are saddened by the delay of JJK chapter 264. Given the position that the manga is in right now, fans would want the next chapter almost immediately, but that is not the case. JJK is going to be on break in upcoming issue of Jump, and it is only going to return in the week after. This essentially means that JJK chapter 264 won’t be releasing on July 21, as it should.

Instead, the manga will now be releasing close to the end of the month, which is July 28th, 2024. Of course, this pushes the manga chapter 2 weeks away, but it is important to ensure that the health of the author improves, and at the same time, he gets proper time that he needs to finalize the conclusion of a story and finish it the way he wants.

Of course, fans would want to know what could potentially end up happening in JJK chapter 264. While nobody can accurately predict everything, what fans know is that they will get to see the results of the Maximum Output Jacob’s Ladder that Angel fired on Sukuna from above. Fans clearly saw this attack hit on the last page of the chapter, which means that Sukuna will not have any way to escape it. This direct hit is going to weaken him tremendously, and hopefully, it is going to cleanse Sukuna as well. As a result, this essentially means that Megumi could finally be freed. This is something that fans have waited to see for months now, and their wishes could finally be answered in JJK chapter 264.

The true essence of Copy is that there are two of the same trump cards.

While it is entirely possible that Sukuna could end up being defeated in the upcoming chapter, that certainly does not mean that the arc and the story with it is going to end. Fans need to keep in mind that the whole idea of the merger still exists. In fact, Sukuna holds the key to the merger, and if his back is against the wall ever, all he has to do is to start the merger and then something unthinkable is going to happen. That is precisely where JJK is right now, and fans might very well see the merger in chapter 264 of the manga. In fact, it is entirely possible that the merger could begin in the middle of the chapter or, it could only be a setup to the merger starting in the chapter following JJK 264.

Regardless, the upcoming chapter of the manga could do the job of setting the stage for a phenomenal final battle, where Sukuna, after undergoing the merger, is likely going to turn into some otherworldly entity that fans cannot even predict. Then, it is going to be up to the sorcerers to somehow deal with him, and it will be interesting to see how they manage to pull it off.

Other than that, fans would also be interested in the fate of Yuta Okkotsu, who was inhabiting Gojo’s body until recently. Now that his cursed technique has worn off, fans will be interested to know how he is going to survive or whether he’s going to truly die. It is also possible that Jacob’s Ladder is going to cleanse his soul from Gojo’s body, just as Sukuna is removed from Megumi’s body. This means that Yuta could potentially go back to his own body, opening up the room for Gojo to potentially return.

Jujutsu Kaisen is available to read via Viz Media. The series can be read by the fans officially and for free on the Shonen Jump and the Manga Plus app. The release date for the next chapter of JJK, Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 264, is set to be July 28, 2024.
