Unromantic Quest is another manhwa that subverts expectations with an angel that despises humans and a demon that’s more righteous than actual angels. Working as a doctor for three years in the human realm, there’s nothing Haeyong wants more than to go back to Heaven. However, his miserable life on Earth is upended the day he meets Yuchan Do, an angel-like demon who ends up as Haeyong’s patient.
Unromantic Quest is a purely shounen-ai manhwa, with Haeyong and Yuchan’s romance being wholesome and heartwarming. A budding affair between an angel and a demon is another enticing element in the manhwa, even more so with the two characters acting nothing like their archetypes. To make things more interesting, the manhwa features a love triangle dynamic, though the eventual pairing becomes rather obvious early on.

Midnight Taxi is a tale of a fallen angel’s tussle with heaven after she forms a contract with Lucifer. Despite her status as a dark angel, Agnes’ character is akin to a vigilante, as she poses as a taxi driver in the streets of Seoul, feeding on the souls of predators in the dead of night. At times, she seems more like a succubus demon, luring pleasure-seeking scum and giving them a taste of their own medicine.
However, this is merely one facet of Agnes’ character, as she is still a fallen angel with a contract binding her to the ruler of demons. Betraying god has its repercussions, and Agnes, the former archangel, will have to bear these consequences as her past comes back to haunt her. The manhwa is laced with explicit content, meaning viewer discretion is advised, though these scenes certainly aren’t for fanservice.

The premise of H&H Roman Company is quite amusing, as God is forced to open up a company for angels to avert an unemployment crisis stemming from humans no longer needing divine intervention. Unlike most narratives about angels, this manhwa doesn’t feature any angel-human dynamic, as the premise mostly revolves around the budding romance between angels working at the company.
Despite being a manhwa about angels, H&H Roman Company doesn’t quite focus on the divine aspects of these characters, although it allows these angels to be more human and relatable. As a BL manhwa, a few raunchy scenes are to be expected, though these steamy panels only further the wholesome affair between these angelic, and some demon, characters.

I’m Your Guardian Angel’s premise is rather wholesome, with the entire manhwa focusing on Dove’s efforts to mend Jena’s love life. Despite being an angel, Dove’s persona can be a bit eccentric at times, though that only stems from being bullied at a young age for bearing dark hair and black wings, which are characteristic of a fallen angel.
