A-1 Pictures’ Mashle is an exciting amalgamation of comedy, action, and fantasy genres. Inspired by Hajime Komoto’s eponymous Japanese manga series, the first two seasons of the anime cover 74 chapters. These eight volumes primarily revolve around the Easton Enrollment Arc, Magia Lupus Arc, and Divine Visionary Selection Exam Arc.
The third installment of the series is expected to chronologically adapt the Tri-Magic-Athalon Divine Visionary Final Exam Arc and potentially a few chapters from the Eclipse Arc. This would mean that the fans are in for another season of action-packed drama that would introduce some unexpected twists and turns to the saga.
Domina Blowelive’s Intimidating Debut
Mash Burndead is All Set to Face an Intimidating Foe
In season 2, Innocent Zero finally came for his son Mash Burnedead. Luckily, Wahlberg Baigan confronted him instead and fought a valiant battle to ensure his student was safe. Until now, Innocent Zero had operated from the shadows and it appears that he has decided to go after Mash as he plans to absorb his body and become even more powerful. Interestingly, Mash has five other brothers who are loyal to his father unlike him.
Innocent Zero’s fifth son Domina Blowelive is a student at the Walkis Magic Academy. He is also a Divine Visionary candidate and has qualified for the final stages of the exam like Mash. About fifteen years ago, Domina was born with such innate mystical powers that the building and other structures around him would get pulverized because of the physical manifestations of his magic. Soon after his birth, he developed a divine reverence for his father Innocent Zero. Domina’s respect and admiration for him knew no bounds and he desperately craved his full acknowledgment.
Domina’s instinctual desire to have his father’s admiration came in direct conflict with the fact that he was not Innocent Zero’s only son. Soon after his birth, Blowelive noticed that his five months older brother Mash received the same treatment as him. Domina felt looked down upon as he felt that he could not be considered an equal to his brother who was magic-less. In order to monopolize Innocent Zero’s attention and affection, he attacked Mash hoping to kill him. Somehow his brother managed to successfully outmaneuver him through an impressive display of physical prowess.
A few weeks after the incident, Mash suddenly disappeared. Domina’s obsession with Mash only turned more hostile as he felt that he would never have Innocent Zero’s full acknowledgment until Mash was alive. Since then he became fixated on the idea that he must get rid of his brother. In the last fifteen years, Domina has become more determined and her twisted love for her father sets the stage for an epic confrontation with Mash.
Since they are both going to compete in the Tri-Magic-Athlon Divine Visionary exam, the two brothers will finally duel for dominance. But this could prove to be an epic test for Mash’s calibre as he has never fought a more intimidating magician in his life. Domina’s debut is going to be an explosive one and it will surely give fans some of the most exciting fights they have ever witnessed.
Mash Burnedead’s Quest to Become the Divine Visionary
Societal Pressure Pushes Mash to Fight For Himself
Mash Burnedead’s quest to become the Divine Visionary reluctantly began when he unintentionally insulted police Officer Brad, who offered to keep his magiclessness a secret on the condition that he enrolls in magic school and graduates top of the class. But things got more complicated as students at Easton Magic Academy discovered his secret following his confrontation with Abel. This in turn led to his hearing at the Bureau of Magic where most of the Divine Visionaries were in favor of his execution.
Burnedead escapes a death sentence but it is contingent on the promise that he will become a Divine Visionary. As if things were already not complicated enough, the news of his magiclessness soon spread to the masses who demanded his execution. Thanks to Headmaster Wahlberg’s timely intervention the public outrage was subdued. But since people now know Mash’s secret and his friends have publicly defended him, Burnedead must become the Divine Visionary as he is expected to not only protect his reputation but also the people he cares about.
With these things in perspective, the Tri-Magic-Athlon Divine Visionary exam is going to push him to his limits and will probably bring the best out of him. It also remains to be seen what Innocent Zero is going to do if Mash’s ambitions somehow hamper his plans. Since he considers his son a useful resource that must be protected to be eventually absorbed by him, Innocent will most likely intervene in the exam. It remains to be seen how far he will go this time, but it will surely add a new chapter to his rivalry with Mash.
Mash Discovering His Subconscious Limitations
Despite Already Being Frighteningly Strong, Burnedead Learns He Is Way More Powerful
Mash Burnedead has fought several intimidating opponents like Abel and Margarette. Despite the odds stacked heavily against him, he has always come on top to everyone’s surprise. But until now, Mash has never truly faced his siblings. Although Domina Blowelive will pose a serious challenge to him as mentioned earlier, Mash’s strongest rival is going to be Innocent Zero’s first son, Doom.
Burnedead’s eldest brother is also the most powerful member of the Devil’s Quintuplets and is a deadly opponent who likes to play with his enemies. Although their first confrontation is going to be a brief one, it will lead Mash to the astonishing discovery that he is subconsciously limiting himself and is not fighting at his best. This enlightening experience will have far-reaching consequences and it will shape the battle between good and evil in inexplicable ways.
Innocent Zero Sets His Final Plans Into Motion
The Evil Incarnate Hopes to Unleash More Destruction
Innocent Zero’s intervention in the Divine Visionary exam set events into motion that put him on the path to becoming the most powerful magician to have ever lived. After stealing Wahlberg’s space manipulation ability, he already appears invincible. But Innocent Zero in his ruthless desire to get stronger is barely satisfied.
Now Innocent has set his eyes on Mash as he plans to absorb his son to acquire the perfect body that he always desired. But with the Divine Visionaries in his path and Mash determined to foul all his plans, Innocent Zero will be pushed to put his most trustworthy warriors into action. This would mean that the Devil’s Quintuplets will be at the center of attention to help their father achieve his lifelong dreams.
